Please Make Them Stop

I love her too lol. She keeps so calm sometimes, or it reads that way anyway. I'd love to hear what she's saying while she's typing hehe... Ill have to look this new one up and see :)

I like your tree lol. I know what it's like to get stuck on something and you have to make it work. Like the hill in my tank, everyone said it was too much and I would have poison gas bubbles... but did I listen.... of course not lol

The one thing I am thinking of doing with the tree is to take a whole lot more java moss and wrapping it fairly thickly around the branches. If it grows out like I think it should, it would be a lot more attractive.

Spouse, you have you're own thread about yer tree. Quit hijacking mine! (And the poop blows in the wind)

When Snazy made the comment of doing one's own research, I had to shout. It was my thought exactly.

Anyway, any good spawns anyone? Haven't seen wrigglers from the last batch of eggs. And with my Java fern nursery, am rethinking the tank. Might do a loose biotope, as they aren't quite South American.

My ghost shrimp layed eggs last night :)  My cories are just starting to get to a larger size though, and most of them appear to be female lol. hopefully at some point Ill have cory eggs...

Well, sadly they will stop for the time being. My big girl died during the night.
Have no idea why. Ammonia at 0ppm, Nitrites at 0ppm, Nitrates at 20ppm. No visible reason, such as bodily damage. This is the second albino that has puked out and died.
The bronze and fry are fine and well.

I guess now my hand is just about healed and mama cory is gone, in a couple more weeks the babies will be big enough to move. So it eill be time to break the tank down and move it.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry to hear this. I've had similar things happen with my albinos. Wish I could figure out why.

My only guess is genetics. They have been interbred for so long, as one of the most widely availible albino fish for so long a time.
Kind of like health problems in many overbred dogs. But I am no expert. All was fine yesterday, then doing weekly maintinence, there she was.
My plans are to look around for more cories. Maybe I can add new genes. Problem is, finding healthy stock. My indie lfs, rotates cories, and tends not to have bronze, as they are plain, and never seen them to have albinos. One chain, has limited stock and the other two, poorly stock.
I may phase out the bronze.
