hiya everyone
could anyone help me. i have inherited a tropical fish tank from an uncle and know nothing about fish.
it approx 3ft and i have had it for aound two months with out any trouble, i have been changing part of the water and adding solution for the chloride and the fish seems to be thriving. then the filter i had packed up so i went out and bought a fluval 3 two days ago but all the water has gone dirty with like a black dusty covering on the stones at the bottom. the fish don't seem to be affected but it can't be good for them. i have put the polyester filter in the fluval but how do i clean all the stones and ornaments as i was told never completely empty your fish tank as it can shock the fish. i am getting desperate
