Trinidad... Rio Tacarigua !

They're beauties.

Thanks, they could be with me by friday, just waiting for funds to clear then there's shipping time ect.

Never had fish through the post before so there's a bit of trepidation my end.

Will put some photo's up if all goes well.

Ebay, no bids at the end of auction so I contacted the seller and struck a great deal (I hope)

He is based in Sheffield and gave me some very interesting background/history of how he aquired them.

Came across as a genuine honest kind of guy.

Its a chance you take I guess.

I don't think I would ever buy fish through the post. Think of how stressed out they would be! I would feel too sorry for the little guys.

I fully understand your concern, this is a first for me and not something I have not entered into lightly. I have done alot of research on this and a lot of searching for this type of Guppy.
The seller/breeder has done this many times and has assured me they will be packaged in Kordon breathable bags with 12hour heat pads and a bag buddie tablet to ensure water quality, then packed in a strong insulated box which will be posted by courier guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm and will advise me of despatch date. He has 100% good feedback on ebay so I am pretty sure all will be well.

After all fish are shipped around the world using similar methods and how do they get to our lfs's !

neither, there both boring. and gupps die way too often.

Boring compared to which type of fish and in what meaning?
There is a tendency in fish keeping to think that just because a fish is cheap and common, it is boring. It just seems that people like to parade with rare type of fish like it is something very interesting although most of the time all those "rare" ones barely move, hide most of the time and all they do is poop or attack other fish.
I am probably replying because I have guppies and platies myself, but tell me what is the boring part about them?
its hard to propose a true reason why i dont like them apart from when i look at them, i dont like them! they just dont do anything for me. its hard toi say why.
