Planned Fry Journal Just For Fun :)

I know, they do look wrong I agree but in this case it's for a special cause. A tall plant that arches like a val wold also work. If the tank has the right lighting there's no reason you shouldn't try the moss again but I did find that moss on the ground didn't matter it was just what was a divider up top in my case so I don't know what moss on a rock would do.

I just got a new replacement bulb. It's got a blue tube and a white tube. It's meant to help plant growth so we shall see what happens. I just noticed the temperature in the small tank is 28 no wonder the babies are growing rapidly! Will do a water change tonight in that tank. Did one this morning too but it's hard trying not to syphon the babies!
I like the bogwood they do in pets at home with the anubias attached to it. Very pretty. Will get the half coconut shell with the plants on it for the little tank and the bogwood for mine. Will figure out where to put everything when I pluck up the courage to do the rescape. The harlequins will look gorgeous against the black sand. Almost makes me want to do it now...

Sounds like you really have the fish bug now!

Yes...lol I am glad I joined back up to the forum because I wont lie I was getting bored of it. Now I have planned matings (and a yellow male guppy coming from my landlady) it's getting exciting again.
Ok I will change my sand to the black one.
YEAH LETS DO THIS!

If i'm not back shortly, start to worry :p

I'm back! Didn't take too long. Unfortunately the female who had her babies this morning died. Must have been too much for her.
Miraculously however-I found 4 more babies! I used a plastic cup to scoop them up.

First everything had to go into the little tank lol

I took the end off the syphon and used it to "vacuum" up the sand.

The finished product will come when the water clears :p

Too bad about the female but it is common under certain circumstances.

I can't wait to see the tank redone.

Only in one of my previous posts I had said I have lost many a female after she's given birth, it's such a shame. Always happens to me.
2 of my harlequins are plump and one is streamlined with much brighter orange so I am guessing 1 male and 2 females. I will get some more to up the shoal.

I can't believe how much the black has transformed the tank. I had the beach effect before but it didn't look right with the black.
Still waiting for the water to clear. I will let it settle for a few days then see what I want to do with it.

What do you think?

I like that much better. I'm a fan of dark gravels in FW tanks.

Thanks the only problem is my main guppies are black lol! I will be getting the yellow one though.
What about black background? Too much?

For me, yes, too much if you go with a black background. The plants are really the background.

I quite like it lol! Now that I don't have any cories moving the substrate around I can get smaller plants like anubias and crypts to plant in the foreground.

I'm in love with these rasboras! They are so cute! But...not as cute as my guppy fry though!

They are all yellow!

It won't be long before your fry outgrow my chili rasbora.
