The Fluvals really blend in well...even more so than when 'naked' I would recommend everyone try this regardless of if they have fry or not. The pop sox make them more opaque.... 
 
....do they come in camouflage I wonder !

I like the fluval filters, they are massive though lol. What size is your tank? I have 2 filters in my 95L one is external and the other internal. The external one is hanging on the tank and there is a pipe with a sponge going into the tank so no one can get sucked in. The other is the interpet aquael power filter, very fast flow but the slits are small. I didn't bother covering them because the fry go in the main tank when they are bigger. 
 
Tights come in any colour and pattern you want. Do you want camo ones now?

It's 3'x15"x12" in old money... the Fluval 2s are from the 80s and quite small as they were meant for a 2' tank....
 
I just thought camo might blend in even better than black.

I took a video of my tank earlier with my new camera...Its been uploading to photobucket for an hour now on another tab...hope it loads up to here quicker as I was hoping to go away in August !!!

The babies seem to be getting bigger by the day. The benefits of a separate tank is they can dart about playing and bickering with each other and be care free. They are bickering already it's so funny to watch. Even after 2 years of doing this I still get excited with fry as if it's my first ever drop!
 
Some of the babies are all dark, some are half black and then the 2 white platies lol. So exciting watching them grow!

I totally agree with you. Fry are exciting, genetics are exciting and providing a perfect stable home for these little pets is just wonderful! These little guys only cost like 3 dollars to start all this and the enjoyment is exponentially greater

Oh yeah, I am fascinated with genetics and as long as you have healthy stock and homes lined up, you can experiment with them.

I just saw one of the platy fry, from where I was sitting I can confirm the eyes are shining blue! Could just be the light, but I am sure I seen blue. I will need to wait to catch another rare glimpse of them. They still don't like this face at the tank lol.

The thing is, it's so rare to see them. The guppies are out in the open all the time-but not the platies lol. It's so frustrating! Before putting the tank lights off, I didn't realise one was right up against the tank wall looking out, I looked straight at it and definitely confirm it's blue eyed. I don't know about the other one. I can't tell them apart!

So I was sitting right at the tank today and both babies came right upto me, when they turned sideways they both displayed their blue eyes! I am very pleased that they have taken their mum and dads traits. This probably proves he was indeed the father so if she still has his sperm she will drop again in a few weeks
