Tank looks great!
The background plants have grown tremendously, and the UG too.

I was planning on adding a Zebra Nerite snail to my tank ( actually... It has already been bought and is currently housed in my friends tank... ) I totally forgot that Nerites do a lot better in harder water ( and I've got soft, acidic water ) and people on this forum have said that their Nerites died within a couple of weeks, while housed in soft water setups...

I might let my friend keep my nerite ( as he has hard water and a few algae issues... )

That's me. I think it would be best if I keep them, eventually they might be going to brackish water, which should prove ideal conditions for them.

Regarding the shrimp, I have no great knoledge on shrimp I think both would be great algae eaters so it depends which you prefer, you could get both. You might get more luck in the Invertebrates, Amphibians & Aquatic Reptiles Forum.

I'm going away in a week and won't be back for three weeks... I've put my Dad in charge of my tanks... ( I'm not looking foreward to coming back! Last time I went away ( for two weeks... ) my tanks were covered in algae and everything was looking terrible! This year however, I hope will be different! I've left him a detailed plan of how to maintain the tanks and info on water changes, chemicals, etc... He has to remember to trim the plants as well!

This Nano is my pride and joy... I don't want it ruined!

I can remember that . Hope all goes smoothly this time.

By the way... After I get back, my new project will hopefully be a South American Leaf fish planted tank!

That's what I'm doing too! What tank are you putting them in? Mine are going in a 30 gallon.

Hey ( again... ),

Just discovered that my Paradise fish has made a bubble nest and his colours are incredible! Totally different to yesterday... Can't get a picture because the lights are off ( and he's bloody fast... )

His extended anal and dorsal fins are a bright dark blue and his extended cordal fin is red and blue ( with many different colour variations... His body is striped with red and blue and he looks incredible!
