Today's brief photo session. I had a much clearer image of the fish displaying its refractive silver line.

A stem of the water sprite literally reached at the surface. Doing very well. I don't have space for houseplants because of how the lids are designed however, except maybe on the filter.

Looking good!

You have a decent amount of room in the corners for a small house plant. I have a small leaf pothos in my 60L that is attached by a ziptie suction cup and only has around 1cm of clearance between the lid and tank wall.

Where do I get ziptie suction cups from? (I'm from Perth)
Yes. The exposure is looking much better.
It takes practice to take better pictures. What's your favourite photo from yesterday's shoot?

You could try Bunnings. I got mine off Amazon, got 20 for around £10. Look at non-chain hardware stores too. Perhaps even aquarium stores?

I had a look on eBay and found this - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/224232308575

The seller is based in NSW however

*edit - Look at pothos clips/carriers too. Just be wary of the size and measure to see if it would fit your aquarium :)

This one looks good

Yeah, that plant holder could work.

Everything has its place in the 39 gallon aquarium. The silvertips are thriving, not just surviving, thanks to the spacious tank just for them. And I just realised that Hyphessobrycon moniliger bears a close resemblance to the silvertips. You can see that in these pictures:

Tomorrow will be a new day for the silvertips. For now, does anyone have ideas or tips to make the tank better for the fish? There's always room for tweaking and experimenting.

Got more water sprite and an Eleocharis plant for $6.50, along with guppy grass and a water rose cutting which I got for free by the LFS staff. They probably gave me that because I'm a frequent customer here. The guppy grass would help divert bright lights from overhead, while I'll try and keep the water rose cutting. It's my first time keeping a moderately planted aquarium and the only tank I'll be keeping because I'm not allowed to keep a second tank. Here goes a new journey with aquarium plants...
