Pest Controls First Planted Journal (Updated 2/3/2011)

thanks guys. i'm happy with the wood now it is nearer the back and has things infront of it. the plants seem healthy thanks to the EI ferts, and there isn't really any algae to mention, apart from a tiny bit on the glass. i'm pleased with they H. polysperma as well, although it may be a bit of a handful in the future, especially if i get co2 (trying to convince the parents).

i've got another full tank shot, as the middle of the other one was a bit whack.

i've removed a little baby from the lotus today, which i have planted on the right, infront of the amazon sword temporarily, but you can't see in this pic, as it was taken yesterday.

cheers :good:

Hi, I thought I'd update this journal. I've been meaning to for a while, and Ian reminded me a couple of days ago. :good: Looking at previous pics it seems that the plant mass has reduced drastically recently, but it is building back up slowly. I removed the Hygrophila polysperma, as it was suffering from CO2 deficiency. I also lost a lot of Limnophila sessiliflora, but that is now growing back. I've got a lot more crypts now, (many thanks to Mark Evans on UKaps for donating them :good:)I have moved the SAE's to my brothers tank, and am now growing some Christmas moss on stones in the front left of the tank, although it is growing much slower than in my nano.

Here is a pic:
