LOL.. cant wait to see this Big C.. nice to know you never take the easy route and always that extra special touch.
Following with interest.

Well, Well, Well...... what a sight for sore eyes, The Yorkshire Lass returns. Hows it going LL.
Missed your presence and chin wags around these parts. Hope your sticking around....
The Small Pool's going really well and I'll keep it running for the forseeable future atleast, but you knew this was enevitable didn't you!
Still Skint, with a capital S..... How about you?

Just a little movement on the upgrade..Guys

The young lad (aka Scroat) managed to come up with the goods after all.

2x40mm Connectors (Overflows), 1x25mm Connector (Return)
Ix DIY Weir Comb. (actually its black uPvc ventilation grill) fits neatly onto 10mm glass.

Unfortunately I'm off work for a week (Easter Hols) so the hole drilling will have to wait. But at least they're in my posession now :)
Collecting more Silicone as we speak.

You another Tea-Totaller Tiger

I am on Morphine for my spinal injury Big C, no way I am mixing that with alcohol, I have god knows how many bottles of Rose wine waiting for me to be able to drink them.

After spending last sunday throwing up from morphine alone (higher dose than usual) no way will I risk it. :good:

I was on that stuff for my ankle. I'm now on Tramadol on a permanent basis. Bad job they made of the repair, Lots of major arthritic pain when the weather cold and damp. That bloomin Morphine driver put me into bouts of depression. Not good.
Still like my Scrumpy and JD though

Be careful with the tramadol Colin, I was on them for my back, they are very addictive (although some say the are not, just go on to the internet and you will see many forums discussing them) and coming off them is a nightmare  they also stop working after a while and you have to take ever increasing doses

Must admit I can't take tablets at the moment, got a damn reflux, as soon as they hit the stomach they come back up. I have the morphine patches, and seeing as my weight is really low (due to the 4 cracked teeth I got in the accident as well) most drugs able to kill the pain make me sick or extremely high. These work luckily.

Oh better stop this one now guys  Its turning into a bloomin pharmacy around here.

Sounds like loads of you have been going through the wars recently. Hope you all return to good health soon :good:

Back on topic again...

Glad to see you now have some fittings BigC. They are sizes that pipe can be got for easily arround here, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue for you :good:

All the best
Rabbut

I'm curious how you plan to use that overflow-weir comb
Loads of folks at the Reef Club are using it. There are two handy 10mm channels on the upper and lower sides of the grille. What you do is, cut one of the channels off, essentially along the top of the grille leaving the other channel, that when cut to size will slot nicely onto the top of your weir box. Voila a nice cheap weir comb, that works.

Unfortunately on this bloomin Island things are not that easily available. It usually means a trek to obtain something or an internet purchase. When I lived on the mainland fishkeeping was a whole lot easier.

Yes .. sorry for the lack of posts but I have been keeping a sneaky eye on everyone :p
Skint... LOL well I worked out roughly I had spent over 2 and a half grand on marine stuff in the last 18 months.. Not alot if you say it quickly..lol and it was all my own money before all the husbands give me a good tongue lashing for spending the housekeeping on it. Now its just down to upkeep. thats comming in at about £25 a month for all food salt addatives, light replacments etc. so its not too bad. Cheaper than drinking or smoking :) and its not killing me at the same time.
After reading the posts on the other page it was sounding like a spin off branch of NA. You all sound like your dropping to bits.... Bless :p Off to feed my fish :)

:hey:  Waits for next update :)
