remember how you were being a "expert" too on my clown loaches? debating on how my clowns will die in my 10 gallon and won't even last till i get them the 55 gallon? even tho i explained that it can also be for qurintining?(huge sp)
and guess what? all 5 of my clown loach have been perfectly happy right till this day and 2 third of your clown loach died? proves that you do not have a healthy tank, clown loaches are fairly hardy when kept in the right conditions, space to play in, retreats for them, good food, etc. and it seems like they were not in the right condtion and so isn't your discus, just for the fact that you are keeping only one
