No Going Back Now.

 you are so right Ski, i got it bad mate, the bridge thing was a complete waste of time, it was way to weak and was never going to support the rock so i gave up with that idea. I did break some rocks and i am glad i did, it broke really well and it now looks like i have loads more rock :good:

I will get the pics up very soon.

Thanks
VM

WOW...I have read the whole journal...never really thought of putting a tank low down. I am now eyeing up the 7 ft expanse of bare wall below my front room window which doesnt get direct sunlight! such an insparation!

Thanks Trod, i still have to spread the sand out a bit more, i removed loads when i rearranged, the tank is all but bare bottom at the back now apart from one corner where the wrasse sleeps.

Go for it Glidergirl you will not regret it, i promise ;) . Thanks for your comments :good:

Thanks Josh, did you notice the water level in the tank, its low at the moment because i had a flood yesterday, a sponge that i use for cleaning the glass was accidently left where my skimmer flows back into the tank which caused it to overflow and dump about 10l of salt water around the back and sides of the tank, and to top it off, it decided to flood when i was watching the F1, nightmere, I suppose i am just thankfull it did not happen overnight.

Victor the tank is looking great - I, like my sister love the aquascape - about how much live rock you got in there and how is it fixed together?

Seffie x

:fish:

Hi Seffie, at the moment i have about 53 kilo's of live rock in the tank and another couple of kilo's of rubble in the fluval cannister, i have not stuck the rock together with anything, it justs seems to fit nicely together and is all very secure. I plan to get about another 10/15 kilo eventually.

here is a better pic of my male leopard wrasse, just check out the markings on this stunner.

Holy Cow. Sorry to hear about the flood  Reefers nightmare :(

Love the video. I like videos more than pics b/c they show more. That is an awesome looking wrasse

Hi all

Kj, the flood was indeed a nightmere, it was complete blind panic at first, it looked like the bottom of the tank was leaking, very scary. I did not help that me and my brother-in-law were watching the F1 and had been at the sauce  he is a reefkeeper aswell and does have an old empty 3ft tank, i just hope that neither of us has to ever use it. Its amazing how much 10/15 ltrs of water is, when its all over the front room floor, apart from a wet carpet the only damage it caused was to soak some of the kids books and things that were in cupboard under the tank, thankfully my electrics are all dry and fine. As i said before, i am just lucky it did not happen when i was out or in bed :zz , it could have dumped about 100 ltrs or more

 Ski i thought of you as i was posting the wrasse pic, sorry mate

Hi Jenny, those yellow banded possum wrasse's are also really nice, you would not want mine anyway, it can be very messy during the day, it sometimes makes my water cloudy with the sand it chucks around.

Thanks
VM

To be fair though, your tank is way big enough to cope with a little sand kick up.

The wrasse is indeed a very nice one and the markings are stunning :D :good:

After I managed to dump about the same amount of water on my floor and in the electrics, I can understand that panic you will have felt when you thought the bottom of the tank was leaking, mine was the pump tube not being connected to the fuge and then the fuge was not level so that dumped more water, the return was dripping down the side of the tank instead of into the tank.

At least it is sorted now.
