No Going Back Now.

Looks like a Dendro or Capenella type sp. M8
Can you get a closeup shot.

Looks nice! Def agree on the algea cleaning, give it time and it be covered in coraline.

Looks great!

How many snails do you have in there out of curiosity? Might be worth getting a few more if you find the algae growing back fairly quickly.

Hi all

Thanks for the comments, you lot have been a massive help and its great to see some new posters on here :good:

I started with about 13 snails, my last count was about 7 or 8, i know i could do with alot more, but everytime i go to get more snails i end up buying coral's or fish instead  i will be adding more soon, the one's i have already are great workers, i think i will get another 10 at some stage, to be honest the snails i have seen at the lfs's are always really small and i am really waiting for someone to get bigger one's come in.

Thanks

Hi all

Thanks N1z for that address, it looks very good. I have been out shopping again, this time i picked up another 1.7k of live rock and some really nice looking polyps, i also have some very good news, since adding the other large powerhead the brown algea has not came back.

yes thats right, i think i have finally beaten it :hyper: lack of water movement was odviously a factor. My tank is now looking at its best so far and i am well happy.

i have reserved some red bambo which i am picking up tomorrow, but for now here is a pic of my new polyps, i really like them :good:

Thats some nice looking zoa colonies you have there!!

Good job on beating the algae. Im still fighting cyno at the moment, skimmer seems to be doing the job though, trying to get hold of some cheato for the fuge which should hopefully finish the cyno off for good.

Hi all

The zoas cost me £30 which i thought was a pretty good price, i did not end up getting the red bambo that i was going to get, it was looking horrible when i went to collect it so i changed my mind and brought a pink cabbage coral instead, still not sure where i want to site it yet so i will get a picture up soon. My wife also convinced me to get a blue starfish, it does not seem to do much at the moment. I have also added some more LR. I think thats the last i will add to the tank now until the new year.

Thanks
VM
