Tazy, it's best you save some pennies first then get the arowana. once you move an arowana into a 3ft, it will be moving out again in about 2-3 months.

hi tazy thanks for the compliments . You say your gonna get one of these fish??? I think you need to do plenty of research before you do.Keeping an Arowana in a 3ft tank can only be "TEMPORARY" because they grow at a quick rate and grow very big so if you cant raise enuff cash to buy a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft sooner than a year i would hold back and wait till you know you can get a bigger tank sooner rather than later. At the minute ours is in a 3ft and has been for about 8 week but we knew we were getting a big tank as quick as we possibly can and its only a matter of about 4 weeks before it should be here and set up. Think hard and dont buy on impluse because you have seen something you like as this could be the result in many problems and it will be the Arowana who suffers !

Spoke to a guy in wharf the other day and he was telling me about your arowana and how well its doing and also how ofen you and your hubby go in spending as much as is needed to ensure this fish very well looked after good on you both. Reading your post you say your getting a new tank is this also from wharf? TAZY

Expensive! its not just the buying the fish its the feeding etc.....ours at 8" was £65 which aint a bad price but depending on what kind ur interested in it varies

Hi everyone....just an update, taking lots of time to make a good choice we have now become the owners ov a 14" perruno catfish as a tank mate for our Arowana....at present thou he will be stayin with wharf aquatics till we get big tank home and set up then we will be adding both Aro and perruno at the same time ! cant wait whooo hoooo !

The camera has picked up the copper/red on his scales..but makes his tail look like its green but its blue ! lol must be the result ov the flash or the way camera caught image , let me know what you think ! I cant believe how much he is changing and how quick he is growing... Mary x

Just read this from start to finish and its great watching him grow so much. His colour is amazing. Waiting for pics of his tank mate and new tank once its all up and running. What a fantastic fish, ive only ever seen them in zoos!!
