Newbie To Saltwater

Ok, thanks. So would it be okay if I added all of my live rock at the same time?

Would this kind be alright?
The problem is they sell them in 40lb boxes, which either gives me too much, or not enough.

cured has cycled already so that when you get it it can be put in a tank that is already setup

If your system is new it is better to buy uncured cause it is cheaper.

What kind of lighting would I need for easy corals?

Total budget... hmm... $1000 MAX. Preferably much lower. That includes live rock, a stand, fish, corals, all of the equiptment, pretty mcuh everything. I already have the 55g tank (48"x12"x18").
As for corals, I really like these:
Acropora Coral
Pipe Organ Coral
Colony Polyp
Flourescent Mushrooms
Ricordea Mushroom
Christmas Tree Coral
Thin Finger Leather Coral
Red Sea Fan
Short Tentacle Plate Coral
By easy corals I mean good beginner corals.
On lighting, I'm willing to spend.... about $500, I guess. That' one of the most important things for corals, isn't it?

Which one, 216 watts or 432 watts? There's a $200 difference  I also need RO water... and I have no idea whether they sell it at my lfs or not. It'll probably be better to buy a system in the long run. Another $300.

If you want a 55gal you are going to need more then 1,ooo

I myself am setting up a 2o gallon and it will cost me a grand but that is every thing.ro/di,tank,stand,lights,cover,heater,pumps,tests,fish,coral,clean up crew you name it i have it.

You can still set up the 55 but try joining a local reefing club and getting things second hand from them. Also diy can save a ton of money.
