New To Malawi - My Setup And Stock

Good stuff, but following previous advice I went and paid the cash for the Seachem products. Living on the Isle of Man, it'll be very expensive to replace fish.

Im a believer in providing the best possible environment for them, and I'd rather not skimp on some of the highly rated products

Besides, if the supplier keeps the fish in hard water and then I introduce them into soft, the impact alone could have consequences further down the line.

I don't mean to sound funny about it, as I know there are cheaper options which people use. I'd just rather do it the way a couple of breeders have instructed me to do so.

The lake salts and bicarb will keep your water in top condition without a doubt.;)

Cool, well I have enough of each to treat over 1000-1500 gallons now anyhow lol :D

Good stuff, Will last you at least 1 maybe 2 years then as you only need to add to what you take out :)
Decided on where your getting the fish? And when you planning on stocking the tank ?

Not too sure yet mate, all depends on whether or not I get them from Natural World or Midland Malawis. There's obviously a much larger selection via Natural World, unless Midlands have more fish than whats on the site?

Still quite interested in the Demansoni but Midlands don't have them lol. Then again, still not 100% sure if I'm gonna go with Demansoni, although i do love the idea of them!!!

Also like the look of yellow labs and white top afra's or jalo reefs.

So much to chose from, but then again there may not be depending on the supplier.

Cabinet replacement is on the Island, and I'm off work tomorrow (B*day) so I can get the tank FINALLY set up :D

Very nice tank! Moonlight adds a nice touch as well. Can't wait to see it stocked.

Excellent news, Colin can ship them here!

Now I can do some more stocking research!!

How does his pricing work? Are the prices listed per fish or group of 4 etc?
