Hi, my name is Kuter. I have two 10 gal tanks with 1 comet, 1 shubunkin, and 2 fancy fan tails in one tank. The other tank has 2 platys, 1 pineapple swordtail, and 1 white lyre tail molly.
I am planning on a 30 gal tank for the goldies and a 20 gal tank for the tropicals.
Having fish was not my idea. This was not planned. I never meant to do this. It was yet another ill-begotten project started by my adult daughter. Her husband decided that the sound of the pumps would cause their son to go tone-deaf. Now I have all these fish in tanks that have not been cycled and I am striving to learn all I can as fast as I can. I will not admit to my daughter that I actually like the lil boogers!! I will continue to complain to her about the cost of trying to finish what she started, not to mention all the time and trouble!
I also live with a American Cocker Spaniel and 2 Rottweilers. I am grateful to have something that doesnt insist on sharing my bed with me.

Hi hello and how are you. i hope you find everything you need! welcome and enjoy~ :D :) :fun:

:D Hello, Dads are just great aren't they?? Mine has nearly taken over my new birthday present, and is giving me 15 year old advice that I'm too polite to say no to! But at least he's forgiven me for nearly killing off his bonsia trees.
At least you have dogs, i can't decide whether my cat finds watching the fish relaxing or is wondering how to get in the tank and if the fish taste as good as they look!!

Molly, I am a Mom... :D Sorry, I know my name is kind of genderless and lots of people think I am male.
Dogs can be as bad as cats. Zeus, my biggest, caused me to have to move one of my tanks. Not only had he figured out how to lift the lid to drink, he was eyeing the fish with great interest! 120lbs of dog could really destroy a 10 gal tank! Oh well. he still makes a great babysitter for my grandson, so I guess I will just have to keep him..

 sooooooo sorry Kuter :*) :*) and again :*)
I don't know whether it was your name or you taking over the tanks, i've read your post again (twice) and i can't understand, probably just thinking about my Dad, can never get rid of him these days, he keeps popping round to check i've not killed anything. (My mum and dad went to Sri Lanka for 3 weeks a couple of years ago and my grandma (Dads mum) died the day after they'd flown out, just got used to the idea of telling him, when the bloody hamster died! I was dreading going to airport to pick them up, and people began avoiding me!!)
So, when i forgot to water the bonsia, he gave up and stopped asking me to look after things for him!! :S Mmm seem to be rambling so happy fish keeping!!

welcome kuter!!!
yes, dogs can be worse than cats. my cat basically ignores the tanks, but i have to stop my min pin from head butting the glass, she especially likes to go after the bettas, and they just a flare up a storm at here.
you must post some pics of your rotties!! 120 lbs, is he a german one? i just love rotties!!!!!!! and cockers are cuties too. :D
what kinds of fish did you inherit? (isn't that "get a pet for the kids and the parents end up taking care of it" thing supposed to end when the kids become adults??? )

:hi: Yer gonna love it here!!! So much to see and learn!

I must admit I read your post as being male, I think it was the

it sounds very male to not admit loving something you were tricked into (my partner does it all the time when I trick him into going on an epic shopping trip, I know he loves it really :D ;) )

Anyways A big Welcome :flowers:
