Mattlee - have you got your tank yet?

Have you experienced any problems so far?

yeah ive had the tank since wednesday and cant really fault it.

i do have 1 issue though with the hood. i am running 2x FX5 filters and the cut out in the hood for the pipework isnt wide enough to fit 2 pipes side by side at each end so its currentlt running without a hood or lights. im going to ring ND and ask them what i can do or what they can do if anything. i think i will have to modify the hood to suit which is a pain but it needs doing....

but the tank itself is great and worth the cash in my eyes

I have a 6 foot by ND and it is totally worth the money, the variety of woods they come in are great and the build quality is just incredible - they do do free delivery as well when you buy tank and stand on a week day.

Like Matt said I had a similar problem with the FX5 pipes fitting in the hood but it does kind of work for me but not ideal but not a problem either.

With filters I have heard like Standby said they 05 range do leak in various parts but the FX5 are brilliant and easy to get hold of

Buy 1 second hand? or make one yourself as in buy the tank alone and buy filter ect of ebay? altho i payed 100£ for my juwel rio 180 was almost brand new. Look at sites like gumtree they have loads for sale.. if your in the uk.

I might just go for the TetraTecXC1200, they seem less up and downy in reviews than the 05 series and the fx5.


And psingh yes I'm in the UK, but I've already scoured gumtree and ebay and preloved and aquarist classified. There's nothing

How much are you willing to spend? and let me know about the size of the tank you are looking for i will try and find it for you.
