My Poor Fish

I think thats real disguisting Zoe,i feel sorry for you! It must be nerve wrecking enough for you worrying whether theyll arrive safely but not if theyre going to be safe for another 24 hours! Royal MAil usually knock on our door anyways, our postman sometimes knocks jsut to say hello!
Hope the bettas will be aite :good:

she is right in that royal mail should have rang the door bell that is also in there contract that people have spoke of! she can get them on that if nothing else if it was me id tell them it was aquatic plants and insist on some form of compensation ive had it out with royal mail for not ringing my doorbell many times they soon cave in when the volume gets raised!

Exactly its the NOT ringing the door bell thats the issue, not the fact that it was fish in the parcel.

ok ive calmed down now.

I have no regrets as to the point i was trying to put across, i meant every word of it, and i do not go back on what i said about how i do not believe that it is RMs responsibility.

However, i apologise for how rude it may have come across.

LMFAO!!!! this a cat fight or a fish battering ?????? :shout: j/k............ u 100% u just didnt hear the door???? i ve swore blind b4 when same happened to me waiting for a parcel...not fish thou i m dead against posting live fish, but thats my personal preference !

Yeah I had the door bell chime right next to me, I was upstairs so didnt hear the note shoved through but would have heard a knock or the bell. Nevermind, I will update tomorrow on the condition of the fish, which is the important thing, I think we will all agree

To be fair Ive had live stuff sent by royal mail and had the same thing, they havent knocked or theyve knocked n left very quickly n you have to wait to go to the sorting office to pick them up.Some posties are very nice others arent so nice.Delivery drivers can be just as bad though.Ive had to stick a huge piece of paper saying postie parcels round the back please in my front room window cos otherwise they dont even bother sometimes, however this is temptation for theives.Im sure no one meant to personally upset you with their comments, everyone is entitled to an opinion and to express that opinion even if it all does get out of hand.I hope your fish are ok.

now KISS and MAKE UP!

yeah no kissing  I agree we are all allowed our own opinion. It wasnt fair that people were rude. However the fish are the important thing. I think they will be ok fingers crossed, im picking them up in the morning as soon as the office opens

i have had fish posted through royal mail and there has been no problems so dont be worried but i do agree they are very lazy the royal mail and as long as the sender put a heat pack in they could last for longer than you think. and if you think betta's suck why you on the betta section of this forum... so just cause you think they suck means that they should just be left to die? bettas are one of the nicest fish you can find which come in a large variety of tail types and colours.
I hope your fish are ok im sure they will be,
Good Luck,
Luke.

I've also had royal mail not ring the doorbvell and put cards thru the door, just for average parcels. Once they decided to stick a card thru the door, we arranged redelivery and they just did it again, shoved a card through the door when we were sitting their waiting. I wouldnt mind but when you've phoned up god knows how many times to rearrange delivery, its kind of annoying when you have to drive half an hour each way to get to the post office factory place to pick it up, hardly cheap on the petrol front. I'd be pretty narked if that was a fish. But thats why I dont do mail order fish. We go to shops. I'd have a hairy fit waiting for the poor little loves to get thru the post to me.
