My Parrots

Correct me if i'm wrong somebody , are jellybeans a cross
between a blood parrot cichlid and a convict cichlid?
nice fish btw. :)

Awwww, I love the jellybeans!
I know you say they aren't dyed, but the blue tinted one sure looks like it. They don't come in blue
The blue is natural. You can only see it at certain angles in certain lighting.

If anyone knows where I can get my hands on this quality of JBP of a decent size PLEASE PLEASE let me know. They are the most facinating fish I have ever kept. I currently have 4. My brother is keeping 2 for me. If I can get my hands on a mate for any of them I will freely distribute the babies purely to expand the breed and cut down on dyed fish! These are beautiful examples. They look exactly like mine!! I think I read that you had a pleco. If so FYI my Pleco killed my 3" JBP. Got mad and slammed him.

>.< actually my parrots killed my old one, the one's I have now are only 4ins. As for the puffers one side of the take is theirs in BW, I want to put a third with them to finsh off their tank, but haven't been able to fined another one to put with them :( I made sure my Jelly's weren't dyed, it may be possible they are talking it from one of their parents. (but I dunno what was used)

i'm sorry, but i'm having trouble envisioning this. how are the puffers both in the 700g freshwater tank and in their own brackish "side"?

It's divided into 3parts, two 100gal and one 500gal, I have set divideres in so I can have different water types

then don't think it might be a tad more accurate to describe your tanks as 2 100gs and 1 500g? ;)

With all due respect..... where is this natural blue colouration supposed to come from? It's not like any of the parental fish of this hybrid are blue.

I have no idea where it comes from but it is natural. Or as natural as a hybrid can be. I thought it was painted at first but then my JBPs had babies. All of the babies came out with an irridescent blue tint. It's mostly on the belly and fins. I don't know where it came from but I'm glad it's there. With all due respect of course.

I don't think blue is natural. Unless, it is a shimmering silver color and you have florecent lighting, making it appear blue. The camera flash in the play to.

The one in the avatar appears to have a dark spot in the same area as the one with the blue.. could just be from the flash of the camera or from the lights... WHO KNOWS  :look:

Ok I don't think this group will just give over because I say it's natural and blue. You're welcome to come look at my fish. I'm gonna leave it at that.

Well at least you and I know it's natural, They are usually pink unless in light.....My camera flash allows you to see the color

Well most people would be happy, but since I'm not even trying.....My JP and BP are laying again, my JP is digging a hole and chasin everyone away....JP is being really weird, but at least now I'll be able to prove male or female on my fish....Wish I knew how I keep making my fish breed with out trying, first guppies, then bettas, then oscars and now my Parrots. Maybe I should get a fish that is to hard to breed or to spiece that can't breed lol
