My New Tank

This is the same impression I got, he looks like a peaceful fish which is why I thought I'd try and add a different fish to the tank with him. As soon as another fish goes in though he instantly changes. Same as when I try to clean the tank. It's like it's his home and no one is entering lol it does look empty in there but he is still only 6 inches so a lot of growing to do yet so he does need the room, although he doesn't need all 120 gal lol it would be nice to have something else with him.

I had him at an inch long in July so it's only taken just over 4 months for it to get to 6 inches... I never realised how quickly they grow, although he seemed to of slowed down now. As far as I'm aware they have 2 rapid growth spurts in their lives, 1 when small (which he had) and then another at around 8 inches so he's at his slowest growing point at the moment.

Yes, he's always picking at the sand looking for food. I try to vary his diet so he gets fed 3 times day. Hikari gold floating cichlid pellets 3 times a day for 1 week, the new life spectrum sinking pellets the next week, then back to hikari for the following week and so on. As well as this he gets a frozen bloodworm cube twice a week and then frozen fish (smelt) and frozen prawn once or twice a week. Now and then he also gets jbl flowerhorn granuels which are meant to enhance thier colour. Even with all this he's still looking around the tank for more :)

You are spoiling the hell out of him

Hi jackers!!! only joking lol.

Been waiting for my large peice of bogwood to sink, got inpatient so have tied some slate to the bottom and then coverd the slate in gravel so you cant really see it, will add some pictures tommorow. I could do with more plants now though as my tank is looking rather plain and boring.

Im wanting to get a small catfish or corydora as i think there called, will that go down well with my pleco or will there be terratorial issues?

Bought 4 albino tiger barbs and 2 smiling acaras yesterday.

My tiger barbs are breeding and i have got a baby fish in my tank somewere, unsure if its a tiger barb or if its something that came with the fish i just bought.

Also came across a snail, then another 5 so have got a problem brewing up.

Wow lots of changes since the last time I commented here lol.
