Cheers matey, once i got a new co2 canister on there it should start to go bananas again, i'm just waiting for a new bubble counter i ordered in from ting tong china man to arrive, needed one with brass fittings as the plastic ones i've been using just break on me when i tighten down the threads over the co2 tube!

It would be rude not to have a go....not sure you can return used goods mind :D

Might be a bit boney after being in a box for 12 years though?

Mind you... depends what your home life is like i guess... new baby and all...

Thought i would do a stock update :D

25 x Harlequin Rasboras
16 x Rummynose Tetras
30 x Mixed Corys
5 x Bolivian Rams
2 x SAE
10 x Clown Loaches (3 inches, ish)
2 x Rubbernose Plecs (Started with 3, a rock crushed one just before xmas....stupid thing)
9 x Kuhli Loaches (started with 12, one got faceraped in my power head, that made a mess, two found floating dead on surface, no obvious cause)
6 x Sunset Wagtail Platies - (Super homosexual fish to keep, but they do brighten up the tank a lot with their camp colours)
1 x Male Betta
1 x RTBS (Bit of an experiment so see how agressive they really are)

Woah, thats quite a lot :D

Ultimately my tank will become focused on my Clown Loaches, they are my favourite fish, im really hoping my plants start to root well before these guys get bigger and start digging things up. I want to experiment with some more plants over 2012.

Dont see me adding any more fish, its a very odd tank, it can look very empty one minute, then suddenly its buzzing with life, usually when feeding time. :)

Read the whole thread, well worth it

Purigen and Chem bags arrived today, a 250g pot aint all that big! But it will have to do as im too tight to shell out for any more until i've had a chance to see how good it is.

My brass bubble counters also arrived from TingTongChinaman

The plastic ones i've been using are simply rubbish, they go brittle over time and break and i dont trust them to not leak out Co2.

I've not been injecting co2 for nearly 2 weeks now, but i have been using some liquid co2 that i was using on my Fluval Spec to grow HC in. I've since ditched the Spec, its just too small to bother with. I have however, noticed some of my plants have turned very green since i started dosing 10ml of liquid co2 a day!

My RTBS is putting on some growth and i've noticed him chasing my two SAE's around the tank, which isnt a suprise, they are very similarly shaped and i think hes just showing them whos boss.

Love it!!!

Gorgeous looking tank, I am very jealous of your plants. My clowns wouldn't allow me to plant anything in my tank.

What a great thread too, i must confess to skipping a bit but loved what i read.

Congrats on a beautiful tank & an interesting thread. I found it by accident researching Seashell tanks, I bought an immaculate second hand one too. My question is how do you keep your sand so clean? I have recently switched to sand from a silica substrate am struggling to keep in clean.

Matt
