Thank you x

yeah, they are floating plants a mixture of mini-lettuce and something else, which I can't remember the name of

Sorry Beth, only just stopped by your thread again.

Alternatively i suppose the tall onion plant you have toward the front on the right you could place in the rear left corner. This would open up the front and a few pots of Cryptocryne parva would fit well where you moved a plant from. Or if Crypt parva is too small to your liking a delicate with your cory's you could have something like Echinodorus quadriscostatus (var magdelenensis), this would grow into a coherent little group at the front reaching roughly 15cm.

Or, a third and final little suggestion for the rear left corner - Echinodorus Uruguayensis. This has to be one of my favourite plants. Simply stunning. Google some of them plants and you'll get some more information on them to help you decide.

James :)

Stop any time :good:

Thankyou for the suggestions, I'll have a potter around with them in a few weeks time, when I allow myself to spend more dosh

Hi Great set up you have, new to this not got started yet but just having a look around to get some ideas for how I would like my tank to look :fish:

Dave

I never assumed youd be able to keep a Betta harem with Cockatoo cichlids, how well do they get along?

I will be very interested, as my partner may be able to look after cichlids aswell when/if she upgrades her tank.

Very nice tank, but i'd double the bronze corys, and be careful with the A.cacatouides and male betta, my betta lost most of its tail to my male cacatouides. Are they sexed? (cacatouides) Being cichlids, 2 males generally means death

:good: :good:

What a healthy looking tank Beth,

I actually just had a thought about this tank, and checked your profile Beth to find this thread....and failed. However, it has popped up here on its own accord today, great.

Hows the tank coming along Beth. Any issues? I'd love to see a FTS and see how its growing in as of now :)

That is a lovely tank Beth and some great pictures thanks for sharing them with us :good:

Plants grow too quickly lol I have to cut some back on Fri, when I do my next water change.

Bettas and apistos get on fine, although I've rehomed the bettas, bar 1 female. Thia ia because I want to focus more on the apistos, I would up the amount of cories but I have 5 khulis too, along witht he 4 cories and don't want to push filling up the floor of the tank.

4 cories are doing well, spawning once every 14-15 days or so. Eggs never survive, BN's make a meal of them but they still do their spawning dance.

I'll take some pics tonight and post them.

Need to clean the tank out at the next water change :(

Excuse the big sword at the back; my tank lights died on me the other week and it took a few days to get new ones in. By that time, the giant sword started fading :( it's looking better than it did, over the weekend, fingers crossed it recovers fully!

I also have been attempting to grow a riccia carpet, however, my cories, seemed to have buried it!

Introducing my new tank :hyper:

I've got some more plants enroute and a ceramic breeding tube/cave, along with a small garden pot, so that my apistos have their own lil place.

The stingray filter is being replaced with a bio foam 150ltr filter and a sponge box filter, both being run on an air pump.

i'll add more pics, once my new camera turns up this week :good:

Really like your setup. Using it as computer background. Will be getting a new tank soon and request that you provide the specifics of your setup. Tank size, type of plants, substrata etc. Will really appreciate your input. You have style.

Tnanks,
