My First Real Planted Tank

Well ferts have already shipped, and I may be out on shupping because I didn't get to add the KNO3 to the box because it shipped like 1 hour after I submitted the order. I emailed him that I hadn't ordered everything, and I was still waiting for him to add the flourish excel to the site, well see what he says but I'm pissed if I've gotta pay another $7 for shipping.

Ok. The KNO3 is only $2.50 and I'm waiting for him to add the flourish to his site so I can add that to my order, so I'll just add that to my order. And I was looking for something that would be more self- sustainting vs EI but if that's not possible, EI it is.

How often should I dose the flourish?

Also still wondering on this :good:

Instead of using the flourish I've decided to lower the lighting to 2 8 watt CFLs so it'll only be 2 WPG so hopefully no co2 required?

So it's going from bottom left to top right instead? (not all the way to the bottom left though, as it won't fit)

No that's what I'd live as well, but the wood isn't long enough :(

this is what I had in mind dude

Oh ok I gotcha. I'll move it over there then, just wondering on how it'll stand up on it's own.......

ahh it's held up by the glass!!? can you make the substrate deeper? if not you could make it deeper on the right hand side and shallower left? of if you have any rock available you could use that, and then have the rock hidden behind plants. At the end of the day mate, it's what you like best that you should stick with

Its 4" deep so I think it'll be fine, just wondering if it'll be here.

Edit: I must have been drunk or something when I posted this (just kidding) it's 2" and wondering if it'll be enough looooool

I'm sure you'd be able to wedge it in there. I hate stuff leaning against glass. It's the scraping sound it makes - like nails on a blackboard *shiver*

This didn't make a scraping sound whatsoever.......
