My First Real Planted Tank

Ok so the plants should be here tomorrow so I really need to go switch out these lights today oh ok I'm going that way I believe today so I'll just stop in home depot or walmart.

The plants coming are these:

Java moss
Subwassertang
Stargrass
Pennywort
Bronze crypts
Assortment of green crypts
Sunset hygro
Dwarf lily

How long should I let them anchor before adding the ferts? 3-4 days? Do a 50% w/c Sunday then dose from there?

Just start dosing. Do a water change, and start week 1

I figure this tank needs an update!

No time for a picture update, but a little written one is good enough for now.

So the guppies are looking 4 males 2 females if that holds out I'll need to remove 2 of the males, and have pairs?

Also took the lights down to 2 WPG instead and I'm dosing good through the 2nd week of EI. The plants are pretty melty right now, but they'll perk up.

Oh and also forgot to mention......

12 supreme red cherry shrimp are on their way here as we speak!!!! They're for this tank!!!! They'll be awesome! Should come Thursday!!!

The shrimp just showed up!!!! There's 16!!!! I'll get pics later once theyre acclimated!

Well, sadly all the shrimp died before I could get pics

Right now I bought a few ghost shrimp I'm putting in there to see if it was the shrimp or the water in that tank. I'm putting 2 in each of my tanks just to see.

The ghosts died in here too. Unfortunately this journal has come to a close. Not because I'm done with the tank, but because I've moved to another forum. Expect to see my activity level dwindlingovwr the next 6-8 months most likely at a steady pace until I don't stop by very often at all.
