I'm sorry but - that is SO out of line. Germanshepherdlver is only posting her views and opinions and that is what this forum is all about...as for her post count...she has a very high count and therefore I'm not sure that was her intention. Oh and she has BETTA fish! She knows what she's talking about. Don't lash out at one member. It's not on. You posted this...and you have welcomed our responses to an extent...you did say you expected to get negative views so don't start get sngry when people post their views please.
A lot of us have tried to be supportive and give you a chance to prove that this works but lashing out will not score you any points or suport.

P.S. Any chances of pictures yet?!! I really want to see this tank in action. Are there any pictures of the fry that you were talking about as well. That would be amazing if they have survived in there too.
How do you feed them? What is the routine?

EDIT: you may have succeeded as far as you are concerned so we'd like to see pictures!!

well your no betta expert yourself your the one posting mindless dribble about your ever so perfect bettas. which all get on perfectly without even a nip .Guess ....what we dont wana hear it :p
if YOU want to come onto a forum and make a post then REFUSE to listen to answers that is your problem.
good job i *laugh out loud* at everything you say because it is all rubbish!
you dont know the first thing about bettas and if you did you wouldnt of even attemted it if you cared one bit
and if you suceded then why have you had loads of healthy bettas die.

i didn't mean to sound rude, or to imply a lack of knowlege on germanlv's part. Infact I didnt even notice her post count. i don't appreciate people just saying things to say them, all she did was repeat the general consensus of what she read. I don't mind reading the same thing from diffrent people, I don't like reading and overly indictive rant in caps lock though.

And I see your intrest, you've been reading this thread nearly every time I check it. :D

And the fry and much harder to photograph at this stage (Inside a ten gallon and still very small). You'll get plenty of pictures of them as the time comes though.

You also won't see bubble nest in the pictures since i've been running the filter for the past few days (It is after all a large tank and needs frequent care). I'll post some bubble nest pictures in a few days though after a few of decent size develop.

The feeding schedule about three times daily with smaller incriments as opposed to two larger meals around daybreak and sunset.

Fry in the community tank is a common thing but makes cleaning it much harder, and the betta fish less active. I usually move them as soon as I can so that I don't suck them up in the filter.

Also there are two "matience" pleckos who are now very tolerated by the betta fish. infact I've seen quite a few instances of female bettas "flirting" with them.

Edit: I ask that you read again, I've only lost three.

You probably feel much better germansheperdlver. Sometimes I like to vent too. It's OK. :)

But I still would like to see the pictures. -_- It's rather sadistic, I know, but now I'm very curious, and the tension has been built rather nicely.

Until Mr. Shums decides to show us the pictures, we'll just have to be patient. I hate waiting. :grr:

'Only' lost 3? Is it really worth the risk? I have a mellow male betta in with two tetras in a 15g tank, and I'm still continually watching him. He suddenly turns from peacefully cruising the tank to chasing the tetras, luckily they know they can outswim him.

my point exaclty
sorry for the rant but i do not apreciate being refered to as a spammer trying to up my post count. How sad do you think i am?anyway. If you want to post something be prepared to listen to the answers that everyone is telling you.:dunno:
and mabe it needs repeating because your obvliously not listning...
so if you want to come onto the forum and say something then thats great because we welcome all new members and do our best to help, but listen to advice
given to you by people that know what theyre on about.(not refering to me there to all these betta fanatics) :dunno:

Wow, I came back to a baby argument in the making. Aww. how sweet. Well, anyhow, sometimes, such is life that there are living casualties. Its a shame though, because they didn't even die to prove anything. This kind of thing has been done before, several times, and I dunno about you, but I think this isn't going to be any different. The thing is, they just don't share. But I would still like to see the set up.

Very interesting. I would like to see pics too.
Since everything that he has mentioned has been talked about several times (the fact he lost 3 bettas, the males helping each other, etc), and everyone has made it clear how they feel about it, I think we should just keep quiet until he posts the pics.
There is nothing else to state that hasn't already been stated, we all requested pics, he said they will be posted very soon, so let's just leave this alone until we get some pics. It's what we're waiting on, so let's wait.

Dazzle - I'm intrigued.... what makes you say that?!?!?!?!?

EDIT: Hate to say this but is anyone beginning to doubt the trueness in this post? Really sorry if I am wrong about this. But it's beginning to look a bit suspect to me.
Again... SO SO SO sorry if I am wrong about this. I just had to say it!

I kinda thought that in the beginning of this thread. The fact they arent all dead is my key suspicion. But I could be wrong too. We'll give him benefit of the doubt.

Will readily admit I'm new to forums and the like but I reckon you've more chance of being bitten by a giraffe than seeing these pics

Well, i have been bitten by a giraffe. Sorta. When my family and I went to a drive thru safari, I was too little to read the signs saying dont feed the animals, so I gave a giraffe a wheat thin and it lipped at my arm. So given that, I am going to wait a little bit, but if i see neither hide nor hair of these pictures, I am going to assume that this story is fake.
