Are you referring to a shrimp you have in your tank as a hitchiker? If so can we get a pic. Sorry, there's WAY too many shrimp in the world to make an ID of that description

also i will try to get a pic of the shrimp thing i saw yesterday morning for about 5mins then i havent seen him since but as soon as i will il post a pic of him

havent seen shrimp for 2days so i cant get a pic of him and everywere i looked i cant find the pic or description but still if some1 can help thanks

also just done tanks stats tank been up and running for 12 days and its going good
i still have those 2 turbos and a few little snails what htich hiked and also the mysterius shrimp(sorry bout the spelling)

ammonia - 0
nitrite - 0
nitrate - 10 ish

phosphate - 0.25 ish
calcium - no test kit for this yet

ph - 8 to 8.5 ish

salinity -1.022
temerature -79.c

is everthing going ok?

also starting to get pink on live rock i think its coraline algae?(sory if im incorrect)
also will be posting pics of life on the rock 2moz to make sure everthing is ok

Hi Leecara! The tank looks great the best place & cheapest place to get c.u.c is www.reefcritters.co.uk a guy called James! He does blue hermits for .49p each! I noticed you are a Liverpool fan are u from Liverpool? if so I could recommend a few suppliers of stock etc.

last night i used a torch on the tank at night and found loads of amphipods onthe rock i coudlnt believe it
anso found several coco worms and loads of spagthetti worms also found a coral growing 4 popyl heads have apperared and others also are strarting to appear so im happy yay apart from the green hair algae satrting to spread on the wall

well i thinking of my clean up crew now i have been reading about whats the best c.u.c and what the rule is etc ..but now i was just wondering if this was your tank what would you stock this tank c.u.c wise?
i already have 2 turbo snails and i am planning on keeping corals

well been to lfs today and they have tested my water all stats are now 0 apart from nitrate wich is about 1 lol
anyway now deciding on my clean up crew i bought today 3 red legs and 2 cleaner shrimp and they are doing fine i also have 2 turbos and have also paided for but not brining back til next week or summin 3 more turbos 1 peppermint shrimp 3 more redlegs 1 serpent star 1sand sifting star
so now that is:

5 turbo snails
6 redleg hrmits
1 sand sifting star
1serpent star
2 cleaner shrimp
1 peppermint shrimp
any comments and advice and help on these would be great ?

also now if this was your tank what would the rest of your c.u.c be?
any suggestions............

I'd drop 20 Cerith, 20 Nassarius, 10 Nerite and 10 Trochus snails in there. Not sure how many of those are available to you. But the end goal is to vary your snail type

i could get them but not in them numbers at the miniuite i could get 5 of each for a start while adding the others in i mentioned is this ok or? also i saw in the lfs i saw a hermit it looked like the eletric blue but instead of orange stripes it was black stripes any ideas.. also any other c.u.c i should be looking at and considering?

Did it have orange antennae? It's ok to add CUC as you go.

i cant remeber exactly but il ask my mum as she was was staring at it for ages

ok well il add the rest of my c.u.c what i paided for next weekend then see how it goes from there il will prbbaly be able to add 5 of each of those snails aswell some time that week
. then il i probaly add some later on when adding the fish? is this ok or.

oh and my mum said blue and black legs with orange antenaes and a shell lol

just got back from skl to find a cleaner shrimp dead it was vetical in a little gap like it had fell, has this ever happened the other cleaner seems fine and so is all the others ..

plz help as i dont want anything happen to the other or is this just a pure accident like i just described?
if so my lfs do like a 7day trial so i can replace it later on
