I love this little plant, its starting to carpet and its a really, really, bright green. No idea what it is, though

It does look really nice! Congratulations! The plant looks like pogostemon helferi to me.

Nah it's nothing like pogostemon helferi (matt and me swapped a few plants), doesn't have crinkled or brittle leaves and is about twice the size.

yeah. mines started growing upwards now, its about 6" tall... its a really nice plant but i cant find out what it is! lol

Nope, no pics of the reedfish - I gave him away yesterday sorry.

Anyway, I have completely rescaped this tank and i got rid of alot of the plants. completely changed the stocking as well, and andded more wood.

Im thinking of doing a java fern and loads of mosses, with some crypts and anubias with some easy background plants. Basically, a low maintinence tank.

But i wanted to keep the stargrass, and i accidently threw it in the bin!!

idiot.

I have your stargrass, welcome to buy some off me when I grow enough.
I'd add some anubias and java fern now...Then decide which plants don't fit in when it's all grown out

just picked then up from different lfs. got about 5 of them.

one is yours, one is off java-plants.

already started to spread.

i've got some anubias and java ferns now, both windelov and normal. one side of my tank looks amazing, the other side is uglier then me in the mornings. just need everything to grow out.

Thinking of getting rid of the lilly as well....

I think I know the mystery plant's name, because I have some. Mine, started with 2 plants I now have like 7. Not carpeted too much yet.

It is Echinodorus tenellus.

I'm pretty sure anyway.

nope.. this plant is completely different... its like a stem plant with "stars" of leaves coming off it.

good try though

btw, it's about 20" tall now.

I agree, i was just going to say same but you beat me to it! (stargrass) is common name.

The leaves are much broader then stargrass.. i've had that too.

edit: ahh, Heteranthera zosterifolia is indian stargrass?

hi, love your tank. I've got zosterfolia, and it grows like wildflower!! It's a lovely plant from the amazon region, I got it as I want an amazon bio tank.
