i think i go them from javaplants. and yeah, they grow extremely fast

I'm gunna do a bit of work in it today, and then take some pics :D

Looking good, you still just using high light and basic liquid ferts on this tank?

not even that tbh... its like 1WPG, no ferts, no CO2... and still rapid growth lol.

go absolutely NO algae though! :hyper:

this might sound stupid.... but i showered my plants... all the algae just fell off and my plants came through fine. :good:

Doesn't sound stupid at all.

This is my point exactly. Not that I don't like high light, I do, but I just don't feel that so much is necessary to get good growth. Especially if you have T5s and good reflectors, you have abundant stock, and some natural hardscape. Wood and rock leach minerals and trace elements, good for plant growth. We all know what fish do. While some may argue that it isn't stable, nor is it enough to enable good growth, there are tanks out there that prove that assumption incorrect. The true test, however, is to see this scape in 6months-Year. You tend to change things around a lot (was reading your journal). Perhaps you should let this scape sit for a bit and just focus on pruning and maintenance.

yeah, im leaving it alone now :D im happy with it.

just trimmed down some of my hygro, and all is good :D

it looks great when you see it, but in pics it just looks like a mess, and it's annoying me.

phew

The tank is looking really good. Some strong growth. It's a bit haphazard, but you know, sometimes it's better to let things grow for a bit. The scape can always come later.

llj
