My 125l Tank...community And Planted *updated* 05/05/2009

i think your algae problem is normal, amazon swords and java ferns are slow growing plants so take nutrients in slowly, so the algae take the nutrients and it grows, if you increase you CO2 the algae should receed, but i reccomend going presurized on a tank like this, check out the D+D system apparenlty the bottles last 4 months at 3b/ps on a 600g bottle

Maybe you could use some of the bog wood or slate to raise an area of substrate.

Make a border, and fill it up with substrate. You can then have a few plants raised above the others, and smaller plants that are still to large for the foreground can be put safely in there and still be seen.

I find my cories tend to sit and rest in this higher position - they prefer it for some reason. I guess its like sitting on "kissers hill" overlooking the town below.

you have a lovely tank their, getting a natural yet groomed and attractive aquscape isnt easy but you've done a great job. I like to see tanks which show that their keepers have put their brains into the layout. I love the use of spacing and the curvature used to create little recesses in your lower background. Nice variety of plants too, defo a thumbs up from me.
