Loko, actually he said he wasn't going to get a mudskipper at the start but he got one as they didn't have a newt (I think).

But someone else wasn't so harsh, they require roughly 1/3 water to 2/3 land, low to medium brackish, lot's of hiding places above and below the water, high humidity air, also some grow large.

If you wish to debate the possibility of age requirements for keeping pets and so on, feel free to start a new thread, I don't see the need to hold a debate here.

Yes, Jaws made a mistake, and I’m sure he's sorry. We all make mistakes, tragically in this case an animal died because of the error made. However, instead of being judgemental and accusing, lets try to help him so that next time he takes the responsibility of owning a pet (whenever that may be) he reduces the chase of making another mistake by fully understanding the needs and requirements of any animal he buys before he purchases it.

This doesn’t only apply to Jaws and this thread, it applies to us all. We're here to help one another, not denigrate each other.

guys, i dont think im gonna get another one. i cant require the proper habitat and just dont deserve another. my skills were put to the test and i didnt only fail but killed the animal. i will just go with something i know never to pick and something i can commit to, a newt. so all who felt my pain, thank you for your great simpathy

I am sorry for your loss. People make mistakes, it happens. Perhaps wait a little while and get another. I hate to say it, but now you know what not to do. By making mistakes is really how we learn.

thx guys/gals. i have had 4 yrs of experience with fish but none with a mudskipper, i wuz goin to the store to get a newt which i knew alot about but they were out so i got a skipper. i did have knowledge of these but not enough. i held him very shortly and when i wuz a foot from its tank he jumped. i knew he would try but i wuz tryin to be careful. not careful enough. thanks qero ill spell it right next time so wuts done is done and i couldnt be more unhappy
