That is absolutely beautiful, Moody. You should be proud. I hope you submit this little gem. :good:

just had to comment on this one!

This is a truly Beautiful aquascape! the golden ratio scores top marks AGAIN! the difference after moving the rocks was immediatly obvious and I was amazed at how suddenly the aquascape seemed so much more believable. So simple but so natural looking. Im inspired. I wanna Nano cube and I want one like Moodies NOW!!!!

Congratulations Moody

Thanks very much, i appreciate you comments :D

Here a phew more pictures for you.

From the front.

From the right hans side.

And as it is from day to day, you can see the Aquavital hang on filter, I would recomend these for any nano.

:D :D :D

I just have to comment again ;)

It really really is awesome - and I love it

It's something to definitely be proud of!

I am realy proud of it, im going to add some shrimps or some of my pygmy cory's then take some pics with my SLR and hopefully enter into some compotions.
No harm in trying ahy!!

Lovely aquascape!

Just out of interest where did you buy the tank & light combo? I've been looking for something like that for a while but I've not been able to find any locally or online :(

Tanks looking great moody :) my only comment would be the HM/HC (difficult to tell) at the front left, think it could do with a trim, if it were a bit lower think it might help with a sense of depth in the tank.

Other than that looks great.

No algae issues to speak of then? My nano is always full of the stuff :grr:!

The tank and light combo is made by tropica, my soon wife to be bought it for me for my last birthday.
It was from a garden center somwhere in shropshire.
I would emagin that any where that sell Tropica products and plants should beable to order one in.
The Cube i have is the crystal glass one which sell for around £100 the other type is acrylic which sells for around £70 but i thing the crystal glass is much nicer, it gives a kind of sparkle where as the acrylic is just see through and it will scratch easyaly too.

Its your HC sam :D , i agree, it needs either a trim or replanting, does trimming work well with this plant?
It carperts by nature but theres no more space to carpet so i think replanting would be best.

Yeh I take 25-50% off the top of it, it makes it grow really compact and 'lawn' like, the only thing I would say is that I have recently redone my nano as I'd not trimmed it for months, and the HC wasn't looking in the best of health and there was a lot of crap under it where the lower leaves had rotted. This might have been due to the lack of pruning which I would think would keep the plant low and prevent the bottom dieing out, but it's probably a good idea to re-do the HC every 4-6 months to keep it look its best.

The stuff I re-used following the re-scape has doubled in size in about a month, so I don't think it does it any harm.

Have stupid staghorn issues all over my HC at present, thinking I'm going to have to remove it all and get some new stuff, hopefully from Richard at AE when he gets his order in, need a few other things too :)
