Do you know anything at all about cichlids?


Do you know what's going on in this pic? How long have they been living together? What size tank ? Are they gonna die? Do you even know what they are? lol

Lay off eh, Bittersweet I have a feeling you haven't research mbuna much, they are super agresive fish it is hard to add new fish into an establiushed tank and if the tank is understocked a dominant fish is likely to claim a large piece of territory in the tank and destroy all the other's it's tricky business, and happens to everyone, for example sorrel, has been trying to add some more fish to her tanks

all i saw was someone posting pics showing off there fish being attacked and killed, and looking into there album i saw more of it, so as a fish lover and keeper I got defensive. No reason to attack me either, makes you people just as bad not knowing my justification for the matter. as far as im concerned people who post pics of there fish being killed and think its great arent people who should keep fish. If I had those kind of aggressive fish then I would take proper precatutions and if they did kill another I would figure out a way to stop it.

and btw treefrog you have too much attitude, I never had anything against you and my posts werent meant to you so lay off.

I was only sticking up for someone who was being treated unfairly. I stated I didn't agree with posting the pics but there was a warning. I may have missed it but I did not see any other pics of any dead or dying fish in Blue Ice's albums.

lol I didnt say anything to treat him unfairly in any way, again as a fish lover, and someone claiming to be one shouldnt come on a fish board and post pics of there fish being killed and eaten, thats mean, you gotta expect controversy. and that pic i posted was of another fish being sabatoged by his other fish in the tank, so look closer.

I recall my reason for posting was that I found it interesting to watch nature in action.I thought perhaps some who also kept aggressive fish might find the pics interesting.
,try to learn a little about a subject before you shoot off your mouth.

btw if you didnt think it was funny whats up with the topic being "MMM lunch" ya uh huh nice try. I dont post negative things about anyone unless I see a real reason to, and in the fish's defense.

oh and treefrog go take a walk down a short pier if your gonna call my fish feeder fish, I know you keep bettas as well so your just shooting at yourself too. AND mollies are not feeder fish, that just proves more ignorance on your part.

and IMO this topic should be closed after that....
