I've had my (second) betta for 2 weeks now. He's in a 30l/6.5 g biorb.
All stats are fine- Ammonia,nitirite/nitrate are 0. ph 7
He developed a flat white patch on his body within 2 days of being introduced to the tank- I assumed that it was because he had been lifted by hand into his transportation bag. I treated for 5 days with esHa 2000 (Fungus, finrot and bacteria), gradually began to spread. Did a water change then began with half strength Pimafix. Day 6. Still small patches apparing but original is no worse.
He is in great form- spends a lot of time flaring at his mirror, bombing around the tank and eats like a pig.
Is the diagnosis wrong? Not fungus? I have Protozin. Would this be better and if so is the dosage as per normal or less?
Is he stressed by the current in the biorb- have it off now except for 3 hours at night.
Is he stressed by the mirror?
Suggestions please?!
