Norbert, my Betta, is sick and not getting better with treatment

Also pimafix and Melafix should never be used on air breathers like bettas, because they are made of an oil that coats the water surface and when the betta goes up to breath surface air the oil will coat the fishes labyrinth organ and cab suffocate them

I doubt this is the culprit, but in my opinion you have too many Indian Almond leaves in there. Ideally you want just one or two and you switch them out before they disintegrate. Leaving a whole bunch in there can affect the water parameters.

Unfortunately, Norbert died 2 days ago.
Ive bleached the tank and disposed the stones and sand.

Thanks for the help everyone.
If it was velvet—which is my guess—Id like to say that…

Paraguard doesnt work. It also didnt work on ich my newly quarantining goldfish had years ago.

I ordered Cupramine for future cases

Did the goldfish have white spot on the body or only white dots on the pectoral (side) fins?
If they were only on the pectoral fins, then the fish was a male in breeding condition.
