Million's Planted Nano

Looks really, really nice :) to me the scape you have would seem to lend itself to having to planted pieces of wood in either corner, with a 'path' down the centre, which looks a bit cluttered to me at the moment.

Just a thought :)

I agree, that's a nice idea, but I can't afford to buy any more bogwood at the moment! I found a gorgeous piece at the LFS, massive, £22 - damn student life

you posted on my post about planted betta tanks, thanks this is actually quite useful. I've found lots of information that people have told you :D

Your tank is looking good! I bet it's great now you've finished your exams, I'm doing my AS levels, one week until I'm finished :) Then I can do my bettas tank!

Also, do you use co2 in the big tank you have? It looks superb, I wish mine looked like that!

Thanks very much guys!

Ryan, what you said about my questions and others' answers - that's the beauty of the forum eh? So much collective knowledge! I don't actually use CO2 in my main tank, I just keep low maintenance plants like anubias, java moss and java fern, and they seem to do ok anyway - it's quite low light too. The reason I went with CO2 in the nano, is because it's got much higher lighting, and I want more demanding plants, namely dwarf hairgrass. You can definitely get by without though, just choose plants wisely

Yesterday I found a betta I liked enough to move in to the nano, and also moved out the old swords and in some of what the LFS called foxtail (though I'm not convinced). I have planted dwarf hair grass since last time too.

Opinions welcome as always,
Thanks for looking

i didnt know you could trim it.

how? i my give it a go myself. i thought you just let it grow as it wants to

i think its just like giving a haircut...

not sure, though.

just trim it to the desired length, as far down as 1cm short. It is extremely annoying picking out all the pieces of grass though!
