Number of Years in Hobby: On and off. Started fish keeping in late 1996 then quit in 2001, then returned in 2004, then quit in 2006, then returned in 2008 (with a very over-stocked 125 litre tank, I was waiting for the new 300L to cycle) and been fish-keeping ever since :hey:

Fishkeeping Profile: 1 300 litre, 1 200 litre, 1 125 litre, 1 50 litre, 1 40 litre and a 10 litre tank (home to a few Badis, though don't recommend anyone to keep fish in a 10L). All planted, tropical, and all have atleast 1 type of Gourami in them (except the 10 and 40 litre tanks), I am very loyal to Gouramis  I also have an empty 75L tank .

Favourite fish species: Gouramis, especially Chocolate Gouramis and L257 P.tigris And small oddball fish.

Aquatic Likes: Lush high-tech planted tanks, slightly overstocked tanks :look: , Chops, rare fish, fish from South American area, especially Colombia

Aquatic Dislikes: Expensive fish shops, Silvertip Tetras, common fish (guppies, mollies, danios...) and Cichlids in general. Algae growth and snail invasions

Aquatic Achievements: Have a lot of rare oddball fish I have kept quiet about

Non-fish related fact: Uhh...Tech crazy, I have to have the latest technology (got a 3D TV a week ago :good: ) Also, I often have very different opinions from other members and I tend to stick to them so apologies if I come across as ignorant or a snob (I'm not! :hey: )

Other Hobbies: Too many to mention... :S

Carl what oddballs do you have that you have kept quiet about?

approx 10 years (stopped after college, picked it back up recently)

Fishkeeping Profile:
Started into hobby in college with cichlids (Oscars no less). Upon return to fold about 3 years ago, went right back to them, though no Oscars....yet. Currently have 3 tanks, housing mostly cichlids and plecos, but one with a hardy Odessa Barb who survived an ammonia spike during a vacation that killed his 4 companions. Desperately want to get large enough tank for an Oscar and couple other large cichlids. Working on She Who Must Be Obeyed at this time.

Favourite fish species: cichlids & catfish/plecos

Favourite LFS:
Fintastic, Charlotte, NC

Aquatic Likes:
natural-looking tanks

Aquatic Dislikes: "Fakey" tanks with neon rocks and "no fishing" signs, cichlids randomly stuck together in undersized tanks due to bad advice.

Aquatic Achievements:
Becoming a "serious" fish keeper; training my long-departed Oscar "Nelson" to eat from my hand (alas, no pictures of him survive), and keeping my fish alive and happy.

Non-fish related fact: Lawyer by day, married to a beautiful woman and father to 3 mostly well-behaved children who like fish too! Also have 2 cats who love to watch my fish, and a dog oblivious to my fish.

Other Hobbies:
Reading, xbox360, playing/watching sports (basketball, soccer/football, American football), Star Wars, & model trains (mostly Marklin). Somehow I managed to find a lovely wife despite playing video games and being into Star Wars, toy trains etc.!
