Icarus and Nelson are lovely. That pattern on Nelson is just beautiful, and Icarus' color is so awesome! Lucky you!

Wow, with great names like Oberon and Icarus floating around, I feel better about naming Fassolt and Fafner. Get a few wierd looks from the people at the LFS when I refer to them, though. I started a trend with my bettas, all of them are named after male characters from the Wagner Ring cycle. I had Loge, then my two little guys now. I'm on the look out for a Wotan or a Siegfried, but he's gotta be something else, something really special and rare. When you're gonna name a betta after the king of the gods or the ultimate hero, he better be a looker! You can name female bettas from that opera too. They're good, strong names for good, strong fish. Not to insult neons, I love them, but you wouldn't name a neon Wotan.

I will stop rambling now, but your bettas are great looking. Again wonderful find! Another neat post suggestion would be a name database with the name's attributes to help people find the perfect name for their fish. A lot of members here are very creative with names and it could help others who end up nameing bettas like French Kings. You know you're stumped for a good name when you have Louis the XVI. Not to insult Louis, it's a fine name, just trying to illustrate a point. I promise now I will stop rambling.
