At Home Depot, in the paint section, they have a ton of paint brushes there. They put them up on wall in a row under the following categories:

Good, Better, Best

And is the better or best one labelled essential? No? I rest my case.

You are missing the point SH. People can, and do, keep SW and reef tanks in a different way to those constantly mentioned on this forum.

I pointed out that RO is NOT essential to a FO tank (or even a FOWLR). Surely you can appreciate that if all you are doing is keeping fish in a tank then RO water is not "essential"?

If you can't then the SW section has absolutely no hope of providing complete advice since Nav is sadly absent these days.
