*HENRY is star of the show in TFF Cup*


Thierry Henry lived up to the pre-match hype with 2 goals and the M.O.M award on his debut for Feyenoord. In a game where B.Gomis disgraced himself with a petulant sending-off offence the game was as good as over after 55 mins.

At 0-3 down though, F-S PONGOLLE showed his quality and fighting spirit with a clever finish to make the result slightly respectable.
Once again, Young Mexican Gio DOS SANTOS failed to produce a good performance, with another 5 rating.

Also, the sending off of GOMIS meant that the departing MIDO did not get his chance to appear from the bench in front of the Toulouse faithful - in what was predicted to be his farewell.

Toulouse are surely unable to win the Cup this season and will have only pride to play for in the remaining fixtures.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord can take confidence from this result following a 0-3 defeat in their last League game.

Yes i too would argue that Feyenoord's confidence should be good

Feyenoord Vs America Pre-Match Conference​

Dan it's 1st Vs 2nd in a game that the winners will go top of the league, following your 3 - 0 defeat to aston villa what mood are the lads in?

Well after last nights performance we proved we can bounce right back. The lads confidence? we've just had Theirry Henry join us on loan and that helps everyone involved with the club. I think he will socre again tonight and we can go 6 points clear of America and hopefully results elsewhere will go our way which could see us all but promoted tonight.

What tactics will you be using?

I will not be trying to counter my opponents formation tonight as it is unpredictable on whether they will even go with the formation i am trying to counter. So this week i will be playing to my own teams strengths rather than my opponents weaknesses. It worked well last night and at home we are solid team with 6 win and 1 draw in the league. I think we will win tonight going out very attacking style. America will also use this style which will result in lots of goals i hope for us.

Finally, Micah Richards almost signed for Porto this morning but the deal was not sanctioned is that good news for you?

In a way yes, he is one of our top targets for next season but it is also good news because the signing would have seen a 92 going to City and they are one of our main rivals this season. They can still go up so we want to be able to keep up with them and players like that will give them the edge.#

Indeed yes. We needed a win to keep our TFF cup chances alive and the boys just did that.

Dmitri TORBINSKY is on sizzling form Scoring the winner in a very close match last night are you worried about bigger clubs looking to sign him?
He on cracking form since returning from Euro08. He has scored 4 goals in the last 3 matches. Am not worried at all, I have spoken to the lad and this is the only club he wants to play for if the club still wants him

Transfer news

Today saw Moskva yet again improve their defence with the signing of Mexican defender Carlos SALCIDO (91) from PSV. This seems to be the last signing this season for Spartak Moskva as William Stated that he is happy with his squad and has strength in depth apart from a striker but which he not be looking improve here until the of the season

Q: Can i just start by asking you on your opinion on the results in the TFF Cup?
A: Well we didnt play as well as we could have and all credit goes to William and his team. I thought that we could have got a point so i am a little disappointed. Other results well now Feyenoord are top after thier 3-1 win over Toulouse, they will take some catching especially with a game in hand over all of us a part form Estuidantes. I was shocked that once again Dinamo Zagreb failed to win. 3-3 against Estudiantes. I now beileve that it will be between Feyenoord, Borussia Dortmund and Spartak Moskva for the cup.

Q: Dinamo up next in the league can you change the recent results around?
A: Well Dinamo are doing ok, they have only lost 3 times in the last ten games, they are performing better in the league than in the cup. Yes i think we can win, but we must improve our game.

Q: No David Beckham?
A: No there isnt, Man City have done the dirty on us. We had agreed the price between us but then they offered David to Porto and our bid was rejected. I will have no dealings with Man City ever again. I have lost all respect with the club. On another note however we now have completed the signing of Gabriel Heinze from Real Madrid.

Q: Is that now it for the transfers this season?
A: No i still have another few targets yet.

Q: And finally can i ask you on your prediction on todays game?
A: Yes you may, i hope that the players perform mush better tonight, i think that we can win 2-1.

A.Bilbao Vs. TOULOUSE; 'Spanish re-union for Ruben'

New signing Ruben DE LA RED is expected to make an early return to Spain tonight facing familiar faces only a week into his start in France.

In a brief pre-match statement, Mr.T revealed that DE LA RED will 90% be starting alongside the more attacking Fabinho in the centre of midfield. The other recent signing D.GOIAN is not fully-fit and will remain on the bench, whilst the front two will remain as B.GOMIS and F-S PONGOLLE.

A.Bilbao are on a roll at the moment and Toulouse need a result to improve the confidence if nothing else.
Soon to be departed forward MIDO may get a run-out as a farewell, depending on the score in the latter stages.

Battling draw in Bilbao (Post-match review)

A.Bilbao 2- 2 TOULOUSE.

A hard-fought point was taken away from Spain, as Frode MANSARE scored two vital goals. The left-winger proved to be the key for Toulouse, as young striker Llorrente proved to be a handful for Bilbao.

Before the game, a point would have been taken gladly and the squad will be boosted by the battling nature of this performance.

A thrilling game which provided plenty of chances for both sides, went in the way of Feyenoord and this puts the dutch side in the command seat for the final 3 fixtures.

Dan, Well done on a fantastic win, surely now you are promoted?

Of course not! with only 6 points seperating us and 4th place you could say it will go right until the end of the season. We face Portsmouth, Colo Colo and L A Galaxy. We know what is expected of us in these 3 games and with Henry and Garcia on fire i can't see why we wont deliver.

You mentioned Henry, he played well again and helped you to the win?

Yes another MoM performance from him he has already settled down well and played a big role in the win in the TFF Cup and todays 1st vs 2nd match. 3 goals in 2 games is a big help to us. Also Garcia is on loan and these two players won the game for us.

Any chance of bringing them in full-time?

well Garcia is a big possibility but it's still early day we will see what we think nearer to the time but for now he has been impressive and it's no secret we don't have a RM anyway. Cichino who is injured is a RB but can play RM although this is not his preffered position. So RM and F will be my main priorites for next season.

Looking at the final day of the season, it could be a brilliant end. I reckon Sampdoria and Napoli won't be in with a chance by then which leaves Feyenoord, Boro, America, City and Villa. if all of these teams we or stay within 3 points of each other the final games end like this.

Q: Andrew a great win for the team, following the dip in form?
A: Yes it was, it was a fantastic performance from the team. Zagreb played very well an will be a little angry they didnt take there chances. Zagreb will bounce back from the result. We play them again on friday in the TFF Cup so they have the chance to get even, so my side must continue this level of performance.

Q: As you state your next two games are against teams in the TFF Cup, do think that it may change how the team approach the games?
A: Well we have Toulouse next in the league, we have played them before and beaten them so i will want another victory, Yes we play Toulouse away, but the form there on inst very good. Zagreb we play at home in the cup so i want at a win to say intouch with Dan and Feyenoord. Will we approach the games differently, no i want a win in both games, my players know that.

Q: A little quite in the ransfer market?
A: Well no, we have offers on the table for more players, and we have had an offer for one of my players. Bale has been sent back.

Q: Only three games left of the league season left now, can you win your last three games?
A: Yes the season will be over in three games time. Can we win our last three games, well we play Toulouse, yes i think we can win them, we hen playe Aston Villa at home, this we be a very hard game for us. Villa are going for the league tittle, i think the best we can hope for will be a point. We then play America away, i believe that we can win this game. Ameria hae drop in form, so i think tat we can pounce on this and gain three points. As for the league title i think that it will go to either Aston Villa or Feyenoord.

Q: Out of them two who do you think it will go to?
A: I would say Aston Villa, however i would like it to go to Dan and Feyenoord. As theyhave been top of the table for most of the season. Thank you thats all for now.

A: Yes we are, its a big game tonight. If we beat Toulouse then we will go above them in the league, and hopefully finish above them.

Q: With the season drawing to a close your attention must be towards next season?
A: Well not yet, we still are in the running for the TFF Cup so we must still perform well, yes i am looking forward to next seaon, there will be a host of teams going for the league. Dinamo, Spartak ourself.

Q: Will the squad need to be added to for next season?
A: Well i am always on the look out for players that can improve my team so yes and no as the team that i have assembled are able to compete with the best this league has to offer, or at least this season.

Q: So you will look to added to the squad, any names you can give us?
A: Well not really, however you all know that i would love to add David Beckham to the squad.

Q: Whos going to win the league?
A: Well you will likely know after tonights games, if Feyenoord win then it looks like it will be them, if they lose and both Middlesbrough and Villa win then i would put money on Villa.

Q: Whats the score going to be tonight then?
A: I would say 2-1 to Dortmund.

Pre-match build up, TOULOUSE Vs. B.Dortmund...

> Toulouse manager Mr.T revealed this afternoon that usual ever-present defender M.CETTO will not start tonight after a few below-par performances......The 'East-European' partnership of D.GOIAN and D.KOLODIN will aim to form a tight defensive unit and they are believed to be good mates off-the field. ILUNGA stays at left-back with Ebondo right-side.

Recent signing Ruben DE LA RED will remain in midfield alongside A.EMANA and the front two will once again be B.GOMIS and F-S PONGOLLE.
A.KONE, N.SOLANO and FABINHO will all hope to get some action off the bench and it should be interesting to see the reaction of M.Cetto over the coming days. He was the vice-captain and the Argantinian's exclusion shows that there are no invincibles at Toulouse anymore.

B.Dortmund will pose threats with BOJAN and M.VUOSO likely to be upfront and they also have a strong defence consisting of G.Heinze and former Toulouse target C.CUELLAR in the centre.
