Dan said ' These player are sure to increase in rating which is why i've taken the gamble on them. I've swapped out R Makaay a regualr starter in the squad to sign 5 youth players who won't start just yet. This shows the belief i have in them and hopefully it will be repayed in the coming years.

Pre-match conference coming later

Borussia Dortmund v Middlesbrough Pre-Match Confernece

Q: What a result last night, can you take your recent form into the game today?
A: Well hopefully we can, we now have two stright wins and three out of our last four matches, We won Toulouse, Lille and last night Spartak Moskva. Will we win tonight, well we want a win. If we play like we did last night then for sure we will win. Last night was one of the best games of football i have ever seen, both sides wanted the win both were very attacking and in the end we were the better team and got the win.

Q: So you now believe that the club have turned the corner?
A: Yes most definitely.

Q: No new transfers yet any more to come?
A: Like i said the last time you aksed me, hopefully i am looking at a few more players, so we may have some new blood in the squad.

Q: In your last conference you stated that you may play a weakened squad today is this going to happen?
A: No, i will play the best team i can. We are aiming to be in the highest league position we can. We will try to help the other teams above middlesbrough by winning are game today.

Q: Finally whats the score going to be today?
A: I believe that it will be a very close game today, but i think we can win 2-1 maybe 3-1.

Andy can you get the match report for our game?

Every time I click on it I get a page saying there no such thing or something :(

I can't get mine up either i think it's an issue with the updates they are doing on manager history, it should clear up in the next couple of days.

Feyenoord Vs AZ Alkamaar Pre-Match Conference

Dan, you're up against 15th placed AZ tonight at home, surely a game you will win?

Well we will be expected to win and i think we will. It's a tough game no doubt about that every game in the league is a tough game to win. I've spoke to the players and told them there is to be no repeat of the city performance and we must not allow it to change our season. There will never be an easier time to leave this division as the other teams such as Spartak, Dinamo, Dortmund, Toulouse, Estudiantes, Lille, Portsmouth are all in the rebuilding process and they will surely be ready to start next season as real contenders. These teams where before considered beatable but they are now real forces.

On the subject of one of those teams you mentioned, Borussia Dortmund manager Andy Watson commented on tonight's game against Middlesborough and is considering playing a weakened side after the victory over Spartak, How does that make you feel?

I'm very dissappointed in Andy's comments reflecting the league. He has to bear in mind the financial gain of finishing higher in the league even just 1 place above will guarentee him more funds for next season, which is the year they will be expecting to push for promotion. I hope he sees sense and plays his best side as the Boro manager isn't expecting all 3 points if he is up against the real side.

If it was in another situation for example in divison 3 and we were both in the positions we are now and i was playing against one of his relegation rivals i'd be playing my strongest side which surely doesn't put another team down the bottom of the table at a disadvantage.

Finally, your predictions?

Well i don't think we've conceded in our last 5 league games and i don't see that changing i think we will run out 2 - 0 winners. Jaliens is out for them and that is very big loss as he is their best player.

Just a little bit of info you guys might be interested in. Next season we will see the addition of play-offs in every division. So the top 2 get automatic promotion and then 3rd to 6th battle it out in play-offs

Borussia Dortmund 3-0 Middlesbrough Post-Match Confernece

Q: What a result, 3 wins on the trot. I think youve turned the corner?
A: Most definitely, what a performance. I said if we played like we played in the TFF Cup then we had a chance. We totaly dominated, Middlesbrough didnt know what had hit them. Yes its taken a few weeks to sort the team out but now the team now their potential. Next Year we can be challenging for the league.

Q: Over the last few days you stated that you were going to field a weakened side, other managers have openly criticized you for taking the approach, most notably Dan Walmsley of Feyenoord?
A: Mind games mate it was all mind games, you really think that i would play a weakened team in a league game in which we need the most points we can get. Your having a laught. I am a little disappointed with Dans comments, after all i am the mangager here not him.

Q: Do you really need any more player at the club, based on that performance i think not?
A: Yes i still think that we need to add to the squad. If we get any serious injuries then we need player that can come in and replace them at the moment we dont have that.

Q: David Beckham is still linked with a move to the club, what you view on the situation?
A: i think everybody knows that i would like David here at the club. It may happen, it probably wont.

Q: FC Nurnberg next and then Estudiantes in the TFF Cup, can you keep the winning up.
A: Yes, i firmly believe that we can keep this form up Nurnberg will be though so will Estudiantes, but i think that we are able to walk away from both games with victories.

Q: And if you had to chose that you could win one which would it be?
A: Well it would have to be in the TFF Cup. We carnt gain promotion this season, so it would have to be the cuop game. If we won the cup game it would keep us at the top, 3 points clear. We would have a strong chance of winning the cup if this happened, yes i know that Feyenoord would have a game in hand over us, but they would have to play the game and theres no 100% certainty that, that would happen.

Q: And finally your prediction for both games next week?
A: a 1-0 win against Nurnberg and a 3-1 win against Estudiantes.

Feyenood 4 - 3 AZ Alkamaar

Attendance: 34,429
Feyenoord Scorers - Bilyaletdinov (20,29) Borriello (28,46)

Feyenoord kept their championship dreams burning brightly tonight as they squeaked past AZ in a thoruoughly entertaining game that brought 1 red card and 7 goals.

AZ Pushed the league leaders all the way to the final whistle and the early red card they recieved in th 36th minute may have cost them a point. The dutch side will be happy with the result and yet again other teams around them failed to pick up 3 points which has greatly improved their chances of claiming at least a top 3 spot and division 3 football next season.

Post-Match Conference

Dan a fantastic game of football you are 7 points clear of 4th place with 7 games to go this could be a massive day for you?

Yes AZ deserve alot of credit, they came to our ground and played fearless football which contributed to a feast of football for every football fan tonight. City were held to a draw with Lille and Boro were thumped by Dortmund which has helped our cause. America won again and have easier fixtures you could say in the next few games. We just have to keep winning ourselves i think if we beat Dinamo in our next game then we surely will go up although things are looking very good today.

Andy Watson spoke after his teams 3 - 0 win over Boro about what you said earlier today. He is dissappointed with what you said?

Well, i think i had every right to express myself. Being in the situation we are in you expect every team in the league to want to win everygame whether it's going to change their position or not. I'm just glad that he did the right thing and i'm sure the dortmund fans are as well it's surely no fair to the season ticket holder and match day fan to pay and watch your side play a weakened side when you've paid to see the best your team has to offer. Dortmund will have learnt alot from that game and will get alot of belief in themselves for that game as boro are easily one of the best teams in the league...

Finally dan, what are your toughest games in the final run-in?

Of course Dinamo are up their they are an improving side and they are unbeaten competivley under their new manager and so are we. Somebodies 0 will have to go and believe me it will. Then another one is Villa who are back in the promotion race after being absent uncharacteristically for the last few games. But i believe we can beat the other teams such as Pompey, Toulouse, America, Colo, L A and the others.

Breaking News

Spanish Winger Luis Garcia has moved to the De Kuip on a season long loan from Division 1 side Athletico Madrid. The winger is believed to be Dan walmsley's answer to his right midfield problem following the injury J Cichino picked up, which cancels his him out for the remaining 7 games of the season.

Feyenoord play Dinamo Zagreb away on wednesday day and it's expected that garcia will make his debut here.
