Post-Match Conference

Dan, You somehow still sit on top of the table although your lead has been cut to just 1 point and this wednesday could see you out of of the top 3 let alone a championship position? What happened today?

I think i got it wrong tactics-wise, i'll admit it to the fans today we should've won but we didn't. The players went out and did what i asked them to do but we just couldn't score. We had only 40% of the position and that is why we could not score.

Next up is 2nd vs 1st and you must win?

Yes we have to win this game but it will be tough away from home, Spartak took 3 points against them last week but they will up their game considering the occasion. I am completely revamping the way we play, we have been too cagey in our perforances and this change is needed to stop the rot of dip in form we have had of late.

Finally, do you still believe you can win the league?

Well Manchester City have added to their strong squad again with Rossi and Bentley and it just seems impossible for other clubs to compete with them right now. Villa were the best team in the league when i joined the club but now they sit well behind City and reasonably far behind ourselves, Boro and a couple of other teams...

It's going to be tough and our fixtures reflect that, we must start playing football now and win our next 2 games because they are winnable games, if we are in the top 3 with 2 games to go whether it's goal difference or points we will go up as i think the final 2 games are more than winnable.

Can Estudiantes Invite me to play against them in a Friendly for this friday as we are the only 2 teams without a game. I played against you at home so we won't have to play again after this game :good:

Transfer update

Borussia Dortmund have signed Robet Pires from Villarreal. The experienced midfielder stated that he was happy to sign for the club and that he felt that he could contribute to the turn arround of the club. He went further to claim that he felt Andrew Watson was the man to turn the club into a force to contend the league next year.

Borussia Dortmunds Pre Match Conference with Andrew Watson and Robert Pires.

Q: A big game tomorrow against Lille, Can you end your losing streak?
A: Yes, tomorrow we will hopefully end the 5 deafeats in a row.

Q: So you beilieve that the win over Toulouse was the turing point then?
A: Yes definitely, in our last gamne against Man City we played well and could have nicked a point but it wasnt to be. Ok we didnt fet anything from the game but we finally looked like a team.

Q: Robert you join the revolution at Dortmund, Why?
R: Yes, i join Dortmund because i feel that i can contribute to take the club into the next league, yes we wont be going up this seaon but next seaon we should be there. I feel that the manger is able to attract the quaility players the club deserves.

Q: So is Robert the last of the Tranfers this seaon?
A: Hoipefully not, theres a few more players i would like to add to the squad. I like the sound of "Revolution"

Q: Will Robert be in the Starting 11?
A: He will be in the 16 man squad, maybe in the starting 11.
R: I the manger wants me to start then i will, if not then thats ok. I will have to prove that i am the best palyer to play in that position.

Q: And finally prediction on the game against Lille?
A: A 3-1 win for Dortmund.
R: Id say a 2-0 win for us.

Anyone interested in signing R Makaay from me? If you look on his profile you'll see he has scored a few and is in the top 20 MOM awards. Getting in a little but this is a cut-price deal which could come in handy for the rest of this season and next season!

It's under special conditions however, so there is no point me listing him on the transfer list...

I will sell him to you for the minimum offer the chairmen will accept but you can use 1 or 2 players you don't want in your teams to save yourselves some cash. But i need at least £0.8 million pounds in cash. E.g

XXXX Player + SSSS Player £0.8million etc

Let me know ASAP :)

Spartak Moskva's Pre Match Conference vs D.ZAGREB

Q: Tonight sees you take a trip to D.ZAGREB again after meeting them in the TFF Cup last week which you took all 3 points do you expect the same?
A: My heart says yes but my head says it will be a much harder game than last week. both clubs have had major overhauls the past few weeks and it shows. I expect a thriller

Q: 3 wins in league and cup your certainly got a spark going
A: Indeed. I hope i have awaked this sleeping gaint

Q: This week finally saw the signing of René ADLER. Now there is cloud of coversity over this transfer care to explain your side?
A: Well the darker side of of football showed its ugly face. As you well know we had a deal with Bayer Leverkusen and just before the transfer went though dirty agents, crooked managers and backhanders stop it. In the end we asked fifa to step in. They had enough evidence to take swift action and we are very thankful and so is Adler

Q: What are your plans for the upcoming weeks?
A: As you know I have done a complete overhaul of the team. I have now got a very strong backbone in the team. I will be on the looking out for a few flair players to do something special which can win cups and leagues. I am also shipping out players which are not good enough for my plans. Expect mass exit soon in the bid to free up wages and more transfer funds

Anyone after a good keeper?
GOMES, Heurelho 91 at PSV unmanged
bout to move to spurs depending on his preformance in prem could go up 1

Sampdoria 0 vs 3 Feyenoord
Attendance: 25,059
Bilyaletdinov(14), Castro(53), Borriello (88)

Post-Match Conference:

Dan, an excellent win away from home plus results elsewhere went your way. How are you feeling?

Absolutley Chuffed it was a fantastic performance capped off by 3 fantastic goals, what more could i ask for?
Manchester City and Middlesborough also lost their games and this takes a little pressure off the lads in our next game which is at home to AZ - A game we must win at all costs!

A tough list of fixtures awaits your team after AZ do you think you will have enough to come through those games knowing your rivals have much easier tasks and will sureley be looking to close the gap if not overtake you in the last few games?

Well, Boro's season could be over in the next 2 games as they face two huge games. Away to Dortmund is a very tough game as the German side are starting to gain some respect from the big boys under new manager andy watson who is turning things around. Then they play host to City which is obviously very tough. If they lose these 2 games i think it will be America, city and ourselves who go up.

Dan, what is the extent of J Cichino injury it looked pretty bad from the way he was stretchered off the field?

Yes Cichino will probably no feature for the side again this season which is a big blow as he is a big player in the squad and we will sureley miss him but this a 18 man squad not a 1 man and i'm sure i have the right cover in Torrado to compensate for this loss.

Lille 0-2 B.Dortmund Post Match Conference

Attendance: 10,070
Goal Scorers: Matias Vouso 39,63

Q: Finally your first league win, how do you feel?
A: What a game, we completely dominated the match. As you say yes our first league win under my leadership. The first of many i hope.

Q: The traveling fans enjoyed the game?
A: So did i, the 2,000 fans that we brought with us were fantastic, they never went quiet. We had 59% of possession, 17 shots to there 5 at goal, 12 to there 3 we on target. We dominated the whole game. It was our best performance so far.

Q: Cristian Ledesma was man of the match, did he deserve it?
A: Yes he played fansatic, i thought that Matias would recieve man of the match. Anyone on the team could have walked away with it to be honest.

Q: Robert Pires came on after half time and played fantasic?
A: Yes he did, Robert knew the situation here when he came and has started to repay the club with his performance.

Q: Any more transfers before the home tie against Middlesbrough?
A: Hopefully we can sign another two players before the game, Middlesbrough will be one of the toughest games we will play this seaon if not the toughest. They need the win to keep their tittle challenge up. If we can defeat them then it will almost end there promotion hopes. My squad have two big games next, first is Spartak Moskva on friday in the TFF Cup and then the next day Middlesbrough.

Q: And which game would you prefer to win?
A: Both, we want to win both games. If i had to chose then considering the league table, then it would have to be a win in the TFF Cup over the league match against Middlesbrough.

Q: Your team can still play a part in the league outcome, and with you playing Spartak Moskva in the TFF Cup, will you field a stronger side against Spartak Moskva and a weaker side against Middlesbrough?
A: I will field who ever i want to play in the game, Yes i may field the stongest squad we have against Spartak Moskva and a weakened squad against Middlesbrough.

Q: Wont this cause friction with those clubs sitting just above Middlesbrough?
A: It may. it may not. At the end of the day they still have to win their own games. If that happens then it wont matter what the result is in our game?

Get in I have won my first match. That a draw and a win on the bouce!!! Coooooooooooom on

Feyenoord News

Feyenoord have announced the sale of former fans favourite R Makaay for £3million plus Emerson and Makiese to French side Lille. It is believed Manager Dan Walmsley sent out a personal message to every manager in the division regarding a transfer for the player. Although it is reported several clubs were interested in the 33 year old, Lille are believed to be the only club to make a solid offer and this morning the transfer was cleared and the dutchman has moved to France.

The reason behind the sale was originally blamed on Makaay's huge weekly wage and the club being in a small amount of debt. However Soccer Manager News can exclusively reveal that the Dutch side have been in deep negiotations with 5 different culbs regarding players coming to Holland.

Manager Dan Walmsley said 'I said only a week or so ago that Roy wouldn't be here for next season whether it is in division 4 or 3 as he is not part of my plans. I did expect to have him for the remainder of this season to help with our final promotion push but have decided that we can manage without him. I am currently in discussions with different clubs and players but hope to have confirmed these transfers tommorow morning. The fact that i am willing to let one of our best players go when we are 1 point ahead with 8 games to go in championship race to sign 5 young players shows how highly i regard these players that we want to sign.'

In other news Feyenoord Play Manchester City Tonight in a friendly in what could well be Feyenoords first defeat under Dan Walmsley.
