Making My 800 Gal.... Bigger

Well, it's not getting any lighter... and let me tell you... it's dry! Hard as a rock yet still flexible... I love this stuff! Alright, upon request I did a little informational video series… If you ever plan to work with Pond armor this might help you get together some of the things you’ll need… The first three vids are about 5 min each, the last one is a quick snippet… As for progress on the tank… I wired the temperature controller in and tested it along with the pump… The pex is going to work just fine to heat up the water! It gets hot FAST! Everything works as it should! I’m looking fore ward to see it in action!
I was also able to get out and get the fittings and pipe for the filter… Hopefully I’ll be able to work on that this afternoon… We’ll see…

Well, here’s videos 18-21 if you’re interested to see pond armor getting installed.

Oh... Don't say that... My head will swell and pop... no genius, just a carpenter :) but thanks anyway! :D I did get the bulkheads installed this evening but then had some other things to do so that's all I got done today... hopefully if the day isn't too long tomorrow I'll get some plumbing done for the filter! That's going to be a fun video... You guys will get to see what it's like to belly crawl under the tank! LOL

You just did!

Sorry, no update today.. But tomorrow should be a short day... I should fiinish up this small job and be home by 2:00 pm eastern standard time... I worked 12 hrs today so I could have a short day tomorrow to come home and work on my fish tank... How screwed up is that? LOL

In all reality I should ba able to get the plumbing done tomorrow easily... but I can't forget to run out to my lumber yard and find suitable braces for the top of the 6' wide part... Those need to be in so the glass can be pressure braced off the back wall... Plus I'll have all my tarps back in order to be able to set up my chop box to cut the pipe which will make for nice straight and accurate cuts :good: I'll also be able to tarp the tank floor so walking in it doesn't cause any damage... Not that I think you could damage this stuff! So as you can see, I've got goals set in mind to try and keep the masses happy! :hyper:

Keeping the water params in check is a lot easier the bigger the tank. That and if you're asking if I mess with ph and such, the answer would be NO. I'm a firm believer in the K.I.S.S. method and it's worked pretty good for me for the last 20 or so years of fish keeping :) Anyway, here’s what got done last night… The first video I took was too long for youtube so I had to do it over again and make two and they just recently finished uploading… My sincerest apologies for the delay…
