Probably a hazard. You can have air pumps sitting on a thin bit of sponge but a pillow could cause it to get too hot and possibly catch fire.

Just turn it off for tonight and set up the HOB filter instead. Put a round sponge over the intake of the HOB so it doesn't suck the shrimp up.

How on earth??! How did you sleep? I mean I cant even sleep when I hear clock ticking.

I sleep in a room that has a ship's bell clock in it. It sounds a loud striking bell every half hour. It doesn't wake me up.

Hmmm 24 from 10 I reckon 40 put myself out here on my breeding skills with no other fish in there plenty of cover and moss I’m hopeful of 40 that would be amazing!

Unlike guppies they won't keep breeding until the tank explodes. As you get more the reproduction rate will slow to keep it within what the tank can accommodate.

It is a 20 gallon tho
