Terrible news.........my poor babes have an unbelievably bad case of ich :( they look terrible. totally covered from top to tail
have boosted temp and aeration, removed the red claws and am treating with esha exit and esha2000 combined. its as if it appeared overnight, the stress of the move and the sump packing in must have set it off.
we're on day 3 of medication so please keep your fingers crossed people after everything these poor buggers have been through id hate to have them die from something like ich :(

*is extremely sad*

Oh bleeding hell Spish, just what you didnt need, keep up the treatment, dont stop it until at least 3/4 days from them both being completley clear of a single white spot.

Fingers crossed for ya, Im sure they will be fine, after everything they have been thru, they are as tough as old boots.

So I decided to feed some peas today, because Albert is looking very round and pot bellied, he is a pig. He went straight for them, chewed em up, spat them out, grabbed them again, chewed, spat etc until there was thousands of green pieces floating around, dont think he swallowed a single piece, but it was a fun game apparently

I had to seperate grouch and churchill today as grouch(my albino) was beating up on churchill and he now has some scales missing,so hes now in a tank all on his own and being treated with melafix,he seems so much happier already.

this #### has just given us all the fright of our lives and hurt himself :( i heard a huge bang walked into the lounge the lid is off ( juwel) ahd there water everywhere.. so i assumes hes jumped and burnt himself on the lights :(

if he wanted more water changes he could have just asked  maybe 1 of the plecs spooked him, but i doubt it as they were still cleaning the windows when i went in, or maybe he was trying to get past the loating plants.. i dunno, but i dont suppose he`ll be doing it again in a hurry :/ he looks quite shocked love him :(

Holy Poo Bo, you nutty fish

Couple of extra changes (wish is clearly what he wants  ) and some melafix should clear that up.

hes loosing his marbles minx, hes constantly banging off the gravel and the glass- although he always has when it gets to the evening time, he seems to be doing it a lot more and with more force now.. kind of like a fish would if it had whitespot.. ive checked him completly and never has had any symptoms of this.. i think it might just be fun to him,, but im worried hes gonna break the tank doing it :( i havent seen him repeat what he did yesterday but hes seriously gonna damage something, and given the fact that he does it in the night time im worried that ill wake up to a disaster :(
Bo seems soo differnt from any other O i have had before

Does the tank temperature go up towards the evening, especially with this heat? What is the temperature normally? Whitespot doesnt always show up straight away as the sprinkling of spots, it can be hidden in the fishes gills. You could do a course of treatment in case.

If its not any of that, you dont know what psycological damage he has from before you had him, he was kept in poor conditions before you gave him a good home.

gonna keep my eye on him for whitespot but i think thats highly unlikley to be honest ( less of course he stresses him self out) temp is at 75 on the heater but the tanks are getting up to 80+ according to stick on therms, im gonna do another small WC just now -did a large one yesterday after his jump, but a cool down may help him, dosent seem himself at all :(

Yeah thats not that hot, although it maybe bothering him. Ive just lost a rainbow to the heat, least I assume it was the heat, as there is nothing wrong aside from the temp.

Aw Shelagh i hope you manage to work out what up with bo,sounds like your really stressing out :(

Well on a positive note my 2 are now ALOT better since i seperated them, grouch (albino) had beaten up churchill quite badly, but a few days of melafix and his scales and fins are healing, they both seem like much happier oscars now.

Shelagh, hope Bo is doing ok.

Just had to share this pic of Ghost at feeding time!

Shelagh is it worth putting a heavy rock on your tank lid. My frontosa jumped out of his quite a few times until I weighted his tank lid. Was worried he'd jump in the night and die!
