I have not seen a major growth, but have seen a little. What about you guys, any major growth? I am asking that because I see the tank everyday so I am used to it.

Where does one get this stainless steel mesh? I could really use some. Or does it come with the plants?

It came with the moss. You could probably go to your local hardware or home improvement store and get some, it will probably come in a 12" x 12" square.

i got mine from there, they also sell it cheaper in packs of 3.

When you say it is pearling, it could be the algae
true, it could be. i am going to get some sae's or otos today so hopefully the algae will be gone. i haven't had a algae problem yet "knock on wood" and i hope i never will. have you noticed any growth in my plants?

providing you keep up with maintenance you should have no problem, maybe just diatoms which is common in new set ups.

SAE's will eat hair algae whereas ottos will not.

i have seen a a spot of brown algae on the glass on two different spots, but that was nothing my algae scraper couldn't deal with. so SAEs it is.

I received my plants yesterday, even from the place that I canceled my order from, trimmed them up and planted. I would like to share with you a few photos of how it looks now.

In the front of the center I am putting my HC, and behind the hc is my Blyxa Japonica. Just though i would say that since it looks empty. Ever since I added these plants, the fish seem as happy as ever.

Lol mate, Finally starting to take shape eyy?. Looks good keep it up :p

I am thinking I need to plant a little more on the sides to bring them further in. I have a 20 gallon long filled with excess plants LOL.

usually, you have a main attraction in the tank, like a red plant, piece of interesting wood etc, 1/3rd from either edge of the tanks length. worth giving a thought.

the wood look sgreat in its place though.

yea thats what I have read. that will have to wait, as of now I have no more aquarium money. I have a years worth of fertilizers, and refillable co2 canisters that cost $5 to fill. So that will wait a few months.
