There is plenty of room in the 1g and like I said I will be upgrading the 1/2g to a 1g as soon as I can which should be very soon Also if its a walk in closet then there is room to move and add a twin size bed and a small tv

Hi Guys..I normally don't like to get involved in arguments but maybe we should cut Durbat some slack I mean he seems like hes really trying his best to take care of his bettas..Given, most people here would ideally house a betta in something that is 2.5 gallons or more but maybe we should keep in mind that he is a minor, still living at home thus having limited resources. And it seems like he started this thread to show that he improved in the taking care of his bettas by upgrading them..we should congratulate him for that and he seems to be taking care of them in terms of water changes ect. Just thought I should add my input. Congratulations Durbat in upgrading your bettas..I'm sure they are happy for the extra space..Take Care all

He shouldn't have even got them in the first place if he couldn't have provided them with proper living conditions.

I understand your point toov and its a valid one. Fish keeping well pet keeping in general is a big responsibility. However, that being said, it doesn't sound like he's mistreating his fish. 1 gallon is most times the accepted minimum to house a betta in. He also seems to care for their water changing needs ect. At the very least he seems like a concerned fish owner by coming on this site and seeking advice and as evidenced by this thread improving the lifestyle of his fish. Sorry I don't mean to come off as an instigator or anything. I just like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and give positive encouragement. Take Care Everyone

Thank you VERY much bxbettas for sticking up for me and thanks again for congratulating me.


toov I am doing the best I can and I was only saving the betta from the horrible conditions at the lps he was at. He was like at almost lpf in a small cup so I beleive that a 1/2 is extremly bigger than the cups he was in.

I don't know if like say for example if you wanted to look at a pic on here but all that showed up was a box with an x in the left hand corner? Well thats happened to be and what is a box that has a x in the middle of it I guess it's suppost to resemble a pic that didn't work so the yellow simily face is poking it with a stick to try and get it down then the red simily face saw that he was having trouble getting it down so he pushes the yellow simily face back then the red guy pulls out a machine gun and shoots it down but it started to fall down and they ran because they didn't want to get crushed. Get it?
