I'm sorry, I'm not trying to be rude (honestly) but that is the problem with owning animals. If you cannot care for them the way they should be, then honestly wou shoudln't have them.

That's like a person wanting a JRT, living in an apartment, and never being home. It's not fair to the animal to be kept in sub-par conditions when you knew up front that you only had limited space, time, funds, ect.

If you can't properly take care of something you shouldn't get it IMHO. That's just assinine to try and use those reasonss as an excuse.

Mis Dib Dabs, I gotta admit, I'm leaning towards 2.5 gallons all of the way. I keep a couple dozen in one gallons and they're fine....but those in 2.5's are outstandingly active. It's like the perfect betta size. I'm sure 5 is even better (but I won't go toooo crazy over here!)

But, in Durbkats case, a one gallon is a mucho improvement and I can understand being pressed for space, especially when you're just a kid living in your parents' apartment.

Whats a JRT? Well when I first bought him I didn't know I wasn't allowed to get a 1/2g bowl to put him in until after I got him and I told people what I got. Also thanks Wuvmybetta for standing up for me I thought this thread was going to be a David and Golith kind of thing going on.

Jack Russel Terrier = JRT. They are a very hyper, fiesty dog tha tneeds tons of exercise to keep them under control and happy. They are really cute..and alot of people get them because they are small and they assume they can just stick them in their apartment, becasue of their size, and they'll be fine..but it's not.

I think it's hilarious that you think you can say whatever and however to whoever and it's suposed to be "ok" but when when someone else does it..they are being pushy, snooty, or it's considered "talking down" to you.

What are you talking about I only "pop off" as you say when people insult me first. I don't come on a thread and say for example they have a betta in a 1/2g tank and start complaining about them saying that they aren't taking good care of there fish. If someone insults me I'm not the kind of person to just sit there and let them insult me and not say anything. I only "pop off" on a person if they "pop off" on my first.

You are on an animal related site. First and foremost are the concerns for the safety and wellbeing of animals. When it is disclosed, and felt, that you are in fact mistreating your animals...you should be prepared to received said comments at random.

You should know from all the posts made about tank size...that someone was going to say something about your keeping your fish in 1/2 gallon bowls. If you didn't want anything said..you shouldn't have disclosed it. It's too late now though..you can't un-say it. That alone makes me wonder if you just did it to stir the pot a little...because it's been often discussed (even in threads in which you yourself have participated..before your thread came around) that 1 gallon is minimal, and anything less is unsuitable.

And yes, you do "pop-off" before you have been insulted. You must consider people caring for your fish and letting you know that you are treating them wrong as an insult. You are mistaken..that is not an insult, if they told you exactly, and in color, what they thought of you personally..now that would be an insult.

Kinda like your avatar ....it's clearly meant to be a smart-ass/ellic gesture/insult towards posters here that you disprove of...so was the one before it. Both are/were nasty and uncalled for.

Well I am taking care of them properly I am doing every 2 days 100% water changes on the 1/2g until I can get a 1g for the remaining betta that is in the 1/2g and am doing every 3 day 100% water changes on the 1g. Also Wuv why are you banging your head on the desk?
