Is it common that each brood of Brachydanio rerio (Zebra Danios) contains a certain percentage of Leopard danios as well??

Unanswered question..... In June 2008, I posted this thread...... I've checked daily since then to see if anyone replied, but since there has been no response to date, I'm bumpin it because I'd really like to know if others also exprience this...... (sorry if I sound impatient)....

I would say that if some of your Zebras are the result of cross breeding, then it would explain why you get some Leopards from time to time.

There also seems to be some discussion as to whether the Leopard is a separate species or is a natural variation.

If it's the latter, then it makes sense that you see some Leopards in your fry.

Just my 2 cents.
