Is Ro Water Really Necessary?

let's just say...when i stopped topping off with RO water from the LFS and with house tap...nothing looks as hot as it did originally.

again..i am moving in the new house i am installing a ro/di unit into the garage...

I paid £100 for my r/o unit. I must say i would pay treble the price if i had too. No way on earth would i risk losing the money i have placed into my setup. Anemone`s are nice.. but not worth losing everything else over..

Just silly even thinking about it.

There is one other advantage to an RO unit.....you don't have to lug 10% of your tank volume home each week. SH

Actually, I lug home 30% - 2 gals SW and 1 gal FW for top offs. I have milk jugs with screw on caps so it's not a problem.

If i could actually find an RO apparatus, I would probably buy one. However, I dont think that tap water is really as bad as everyone says.

P.S., Riley couldnt get more right about that!

I guess it really depends if you care about the risks or if your local water is unsanitary or adds chemicals often. Climate also has something to do with it.

P.S.-Riley and ChestnutMoray are absolutely right about our lfs. :D
