Is history repeating itself?

I decided it was time to look up Dr Axelrod for his spin on these fish. I have posted his description and the index that tells you what the symbols mean. This information is from his Atlas 2007.

While I appreciate this information, it is a bit outdated... That was from apx 15 years ago. It says they only eat live foods, this is not true as they gobble up everything... They also ARE technically a community fish but they just quarrel amongst themselves... I have never heard of a gudgeons attacking other species in the tank but I have heard of small fights or displaying of their fins towards their own.

If you think Axelrod is outdated, you are going to have an interesting ride in this hobby. Just remember you have killed half the fish you have owned. Not a great record!!!

About the food when you are starving you will eat anything to stay alive, do you think they wanted to eat that man made rubbish you are feeding them

Its the best on the market for dry foods... I dont want to feed it to them but its affordable and I do plan on trying to balance their diet with other things such as frozen foods.

We feed our dog dry food and then every now and then, we give her some chicken or something... Depends though

These fish rely on you to feed them what they require

"I" didn't kill them... They were most likely very very stressed... That hurt... That hurt bad when you said that... I take pride in my tank ya know... I never wanted them to die... You act like I didn't do any research and threw em in... I have to admit though, the second one I didn't think about with hierarchy and being an intruder... But now I know

I feed them fluval bug bites... Like a lot of people on here feed their fish. They seem to REALLY like it... Anytime they see it they get all wound up and eat all up. But I do plan on getting brine shrimp when I get the other fish in hopefully... Could be sooner but idk

Think about it, every fish you put in your tank relies on you to give it the right conditions to survive if you don't do that the fish dies.

I gave them the best conditions I could provide with the research I had done

Obviously yes it was.. Two of my fish are very happy but like my mom said: "They are the mafia of the tank 😅"... Which is true... Those two bully any other gudgeon... These two have apparently worked out their differences and have a few flaring stances but other than that they don't kill each other lime they did to the others... Stress definitely killed those other two
But was that enough

Bug Bites is a good food. It's insects, and one of the best dried foods on the market. I use it too, as so others on the forum.

Yes it would be even better if you can offer a variety of foods - I like microworms as a live food since they're cheap and easy to culture and keep going as an endless supply of free live food, and the fish love them. A variety of frozen food is good too if you can get it. But there's nothing wrong with Bug Bites.

Two fish died because of your actions, which is not something to be laughing at. Those are two lives you were responsible for and didn't do what you should have. Don't laugh about it.

Nvm... Obviously you don't understand a thing I'm saying...

You think I wanted them to die!? You think I didn't do what I could!? Why the heck would I be on here if I didn't fricking care!?... Maybe I am covering up an emotion with a joke or two so what... You've been attacking me on why you think I killed my fish and all I want to do is have a nice tank... You're right they were lives I was responsible for... But I'm not in control of what the other fish do or what that fish feels...
